"This park is used for countless private functions. This is the first in so many years that this has happened," said Papakolea Resident Richard Soo.

Soo tells us the men who invaded the party were not from the area.

In light of what happened, community leaders are considering making some changes.

"The people in charge of this facility, Papakolea Community Development Corporation, will be meeting to look at providing or mandating special duty police officers at all these functions in the future," said Soo.

At last check, two men were arrested. One for assault, the other for assault and attempted murder.
