An armed bystander shot a man who opened fire at a Florida park filled with over 100 people -- including children -- for a Saturday back-to-school cookout, officials said.

The Titusville Police Department said in a news release the man was involved in a fistfight with another person at the Issac Campbell Park and left around 5:20 p.m. -- only to return with a gun minutes later and start shooting.

A bystander, who was lawfully licensed to carry a firearm, then shot the gunman.

“We are extremely grateful that nobody else was injured in this incident,” Deputy Chief Todd Hutchinson said in a statement. “This suspect opened fire at a crowded public park. This could have been so much worse.”

Nice but have seen nothing on the news yet although I might have missed it. If this happened here, the bystander would be arrested, charged, probably convicted and financially ruined. Not to mention lawsuits and poor shooters family libertards crying the blues and condemning the bystander even though he might have saved some libertards or children’s life. You wont hear about it, because it didn't end up being a mass shooting.  Funny how that works right?  Now just suppose if this law abiding citizen wasn't there, how long would it have taken police to respond, and how many people would have been shot by the criminal?

The stupidity of some liberals is amazing.  On the starad, you have a guy saying "we have done fine without carrying firearms, why now, do we really need this?  "    Of course, if your interpretation of "fine" is that law abiding citizens are at the mercy of criminals, then yeah, hawaii is doing fine.  Criminals shooting cops, the state releasing murderers into the public, tourists getting beaten up in broad daylight by druggies.  YES WE"RE DOING FINE.

Say you're out for a stroll with your wife and kids, a druggie pulls out a knife and advances towards you.  Is the cops really going to be there to intervene?  I mean, a 5 minute response time supposed to be pretty good right?  How are you going to distract the druggie for 5 minutes?  You going to get down on your knees and  beg him to let you suck his dick?

Mental health advocates and probably the ACLU will join to get that women in handcuffs saying, "He was a good man who made a bad choice" "He forgot to take his meds" "We need more education about identifying mental health persons...not more guns"
