The no statute of limitations in that jurisdiction was known early on, and numerous commentators and even a few Democrat senators suggested that she file criminal and/or civil complaint(s) in that jurisdiction, which (criminal complaint) would have resulted in a full police investigation, with possible filing of charges and arrests. Of course that's all based on the premise that something actually happened, which thus far investigators from the United States Senate and the FBI have not been able to corroborate, AT ALL. Maybe the Maryland police have better investigators and will vindicate Ford. You have to wonder why she wouldn't make use of all avenues to validate her claims. Hmmm?

I call bullshit.
We all know why she didn’t file a police report. This was a political hit job. Last I heard those GoFundMe pages set up for her were worth $900k. Not bad for a day’s work.

If I had the power, I'd order investigations into Ford, her "friend" McLean, her attorneys, all the committee Democrats, especially Feinstein, re their collusion to commit perjury, libel, lie to investigators, etc., etc., etc.

I don't, so I won't, and I rather doubt the Republicans in the positions to do so will call for it either... they're too scared it will cast them in a bad light. Fuck the bad light, grow a pair and find out what really happened and who's responsible and have them face serious consequences if they engaged in any wrongdoing.

"Look, Kavanaugh is on the court. Isn't that enough?" NO! FUCK NO, THAT IS NOT ENOUGH! Put these criminals on trial.

After the location was narrowed down to Montgomery county, the chief of police there drafted a letter on their position.  The basics:  crimes are charged based on the time in which the crime occurred.  In 1982, the crimes Ford accused Kavanaugh of committing were misdemeanors with a statute of limitations of one year.

So, unless she can claim the memories were part of a repressed memory she just recently remembered, which she can't, filing a report would be a waste of everyone's time.  She told her therapist 6 years ago.  The one year limitation started ticking (again) then if she tried the repressed memory approach.

Quote
ROCKVILLE, Md. (WBFF) - The Montgomery County Police Department and Montgomery County State’s Attorney
released a letter Friday in response to a Maryland delegate’s call to open a criminal investigation involving sexual
assault allegations against Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

The allegations come from professor Christine Blasey Ford, who testified Kavanaugh assaulted her back in the
1980s, while the two were in high school in Montgomery County.

In a letter, the MCPD and state’s attorney’s office said the agencies remain prepared to investigate any allegation,
should a victim come forward.

To date, there have been no criminal reports filed with the Montgomery County Department of Police that would lead
to the initiation of any criminal investigation related to Judge Kavanaugh
,” the letter said.

The letter went on to discuss the statute of limitations.

According to police, the law at the time of the offense occurred is the law that must be applied to any charges
that might be brought.

“For example, in 1982, assault and attempted rape were both misdemeanors and subject to a one-year statute
of limitations,” the letter stated.

MCPD said if a report is filed, the department would investigate the allegation, then turn over the results to the
Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s office.

The office would then determine if the allegation would be prosecutable, police said.

ACLU has a good point about Kav because he loves constitutional crushing laws like the Patriot Act and wasting billions collecting worthless metadata and government spying programs that were designed solely to intimidate uppity proles into submission. If the Dems had highlighted Kav's record of kowtowing to the deep state swamp monsters then they might have gotten somewhere, but instead they continued their journey of self annihilation by beating the Political Correctness dead horse in an era where most people are living paycheck to paycheck and sick of their endless broken promises.

Annnnd.... Mazie takes the number one spot for stupidest most absurd unhinged response to Kavanaugh confirmation. I knew she had the potential to achieve such heights of idiocy, and she finally got there. At least as far as a Twitchy editor is concerned. The ratings of the editor are totally subjective, of course, and there are many others that seem near equally deserving of most unhinged.

Literally SHAKING (from laughter): Top 10 UNHINGED Lefty responses to Kavanaugh’s confirmation

After spending weeks and weeks and weeks writing about the Left’s response to even the idea of Kavanaugh being confirmed, we knew that once it happened on Saturday (woot!) that the explosion on Twitter would be monumental.

And hilarious.

The one thing we’ve said from the very beginning of Trump’s presidency is all the Left has to do is not be crazy … so of course, they went totally batsh*t.

Here are the top 10 meltdowns we could find in response to Kavanaugh’s confirmation (please note, there are literally thousands of these tweets to go through so we could have missed a few hundred … heh)

If anyone ever asks, "why are the people in elected office not the best or brightest we have to offer?"  remind them of Kavanaugh, and how his opponents were willing to use the "scorched Earth" approach to prevent his confirmation.

The best & brightest have to be willing to endure those kinds of tactics to campaign and win.  They need a squeaky clean background, or the money and muscle to suppress any claims of prior bad behavior.  Obama spent millions to hid his past.  HRC was in charge of "Bimbo Eruptions" during Bill's presidential campaign.

Look at the stuff they dug up on Romney.  Dog on the roof of the car?  Doesn't matter the dog was having a problem with diarrhea.  Harry Reid lied on the floor of the Senate repeating a false rumor Romney hadn't paid his taxes for 10 years.

Anything to make the voters angry at the candidate/nominee is fair game -- relevance notwithstanding.

Another headline for Hirono! She's raking them in! Without further comment from me...

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2018/10/wth-idiot-mazie-hirono-says-kavanaugh-did-not-have-anyone-to-corroborate-his-story-but-christine-ford-did-video/

WTH? Idiot Mazie Hirono Says Kavanaugh Did Not have Anyone to Corroborate His Story But Christine Ford Did (VIDEO)

This woman is dumb as a brick.

Senator Mazie Hirono told CNN on Sunday morning Judge Brett Kavanaugh did not have anyone to corroborate his story but Christine Ford did.

How stupid.

Mazie Hirono: I certainly believe Dr. Ford. Anybody watching her testimony would know, I’d say, would conclude that she was being very truthful. And the one thing she recollects with 100% accuracy is that Judge Kavanaugh, that Brett Kavanaugh assaulted her.

Dana Bash: You think that Senator Collins is insulting to Professor Ford?

Mazie Hirono: Well, to say that she thinks that Dr. Ford thinks that she was assaulted. What is that? Is she mistaken? She, herself, said that she heard from so many survivors from her state and elsewhere… I also note that in your interview she also said that there was no corroboration. Um, there was not corroboration on Brett Kavanaugh’s bald assertion that he didn’t do it. Because the people that the FBI interviewed which was a small number of the dozens that they should have interviewed they all said that they have no recollection. That is hardly what I would call exoneration. But on her side there was corroboration because she had talked about this assault to her husband to others before Brett Kavanaugh was ever nominated to the Supreme Court.

Once again, Hirono has NO IDEA what she is talking about.

EVERY ALLEGED WITNESS to Ford’s 36-year-old story says they don’t remember the incident and don’t even remember the party!
Even Ford’s friend, who was pressured by Democrats to lie about the incident, told investigators she did not remember the incident and had NEVER been to a party with Brett Kavanaugh. Someone needs to explain to Mazie what corroboration means.

Come on Hawaii, you can do better than this! [Alas, I think not... unfortunately...]

It's official.

There is more corroboration Bigfoot exists

than there is Justice Kavanaugh sexually assaulted anyone ... ever.

Intelligence is not required to be a democrat politician, only ideological purity.

Say the right catch phrases to the appropriate audience and you are in.

How do you think that moron Jackson-Lie or the rodeo monkey from Florida ever got elected?  Sure as hell not sharp commentary on government.

Sweet, sweet liberal tears.
"The rifle is a weapon. Let there be no mistake about that. It is a tool of power, and thus dependent completely upon the moral stature of its user. It is equally useful in securing meat for the table, destroying group enemies on the battlefield, and resisting tyranny. In fact, it is the only means of resisting tyranny, since a citizenry armed with rifles simply cannot be tyrannized."
