Nu'uanu Pigs?

I hunted Nu'uanu Valley since the very first day they first opened it up for archery hunting in the late 80s until I moved to Maui in '96.  All the time I hunted that area I never had success, seen old signs of pig activity but no pigs so was wondering if anyone here has had success hunting pigs with bow in Nu'uanu.   I haven't hunted in there since moving back from 12 years on Maui 4 years ago.  Nice to see they have both sides of Pali Hwy now open for archery.    Is it worth giving Nu'uanu valley another try or is there a better place fo' archery hunt on Oahu that you can recommend?   Mahalo nui for the input.

I just bought myself a bow in hopes of starting hunting. I found a lot of information and active hunters on Hawaii Sportsman forum.

Apparently, Pali hunting area has a lot of vehicle break-ins. And I guess get choke people and overhunted where the pigs don't come out at all during the day.

Wait is Nuu'anu and Pali the same thing? Townie here O_o

What kind of bow did u get? I'm looking (kind of) to get one. I like the regular longbows but those recurves are nice too. So are the compounds
And the crossbows. Ah. Fvck!!!

The other week I got myself a recurve from Island Archer. PSE Mustang - $215. I'm really enjoying it. I also just put on order a compound bow with them. Should arrive in a few weeks. Can't wait to play with that one!
