SIG P320 Compact
« on: September 16, 2018, 08:26:22 PM »
Thinking about picking one up and selling my SD9VE and my SCCY 9mm to finance most of it. Any opinions on the SIG?
Thanks!  :shaka:

It's da shiznitz!!  If you like a striker fire (Glock), the light weight of a polymer frame over a metal one (Glock) and the ergonomics of a Sig (mainly P226), then the P320 is the right mix for you.

Accessories like holsters are getting easier to find. When I got mine, lots of items were for the P251, which is a close match.

I really cannot think of anything I'd list as a negative other than the price has gone up as the popularity spiked. Maybe the conversion kits -- the price for those could be much cheaper.  I got my Compact kit for cheap from a private seller.  Gives me a Compact and Full Size gun to suit my requirements.

I like the fact that you can change the size without having to buy another gun.  The only issue I have is that it's top heavy.

You don't notice that with a full mag ... or even a HI-compliant full mag.

I've been wanting the P320 X5 full size for a while.  I've shot it and another more stock full size and compact models a little here and there and they seem solid.  The higher bore axis is something that I did notice, but not really that much more than my PPQs.  I think I'll get one before too long, but just have to get through some family and medical issues right now.   :(

Now that I'm replaying the HDF classes where I had to shoot someone elses P320, you're right.  It's just noticeably top heavy when handed in the gun store.

“Pulled the trigger” (ok that sucked) on a 9mm compact w/contrast sights. Bought it from Buds and Warren Oshiro will handle the transfer....
