"The rifle is a weapon. Let there be no mistake about that. It is a tool of power, and thus dependent completely upon the moral stature of its user. It is equally useful in securing meat for the table, destroying group enemies on the battlefield, and resisting tyranny. In fact, it is the only means of resisting tyranny, since a citizenry armed with rifles simply cannot be tyrannized."

There's still hope... very slim, but at least it's a hope...

Facebook ‘could collapse’ if election scandals keep coming, author warns

https://metro.co.uk/2018/10/24/facebook-could-collapse-if-election-scandals-keep-coming-author-warns-8069938/?ito=cbshare

Facebook ‘could collapse’ if it keeps being dogged by scandals over misinformation and election hacking, says the author of a 2010 book on the company. David Kirkpatrick says advertisers could start to shun the platform if the scandals don’t stop – after a year of seemingly endless controversy over misinformation, privacy and ‘fake news’. Kirkpatrick said the election manipulation issue, ‘could get so terrifying that advertisers could start to back away. That’s nowhere near happening now, but it could happen.’

Research earlier this summer suggested that young people are deserting Facebook.

The only way FB collapses is when capitalism takes over and some entrepreneurial person creates a better FB. It will happen eventually. But it will take time. It happened with MySpace. It will happen with FB, too. When a different/better platform becomes available people will move.

When you start seeing a lot of upper management start escaping FB, you know something is up. JMHO

It's called Instagram.

Zuckerberg owns Instagram. Just sayin'...

And Snapchat.
None of the kids now days use Facebook.

According to the article 51% of teens use Facebook daily. Not the 70-something % using Instagram and Snapchat, but still... that's a lot of teens.

FB and IG are censoring many now.  But unfortunately, they control the social media market.  If I could, I would delete both my FB and IG, but I rely on them to keep in contact with people and to get info the fake news doesn't tell you.

Maybe he’s onto something. People googling Oahu gun club may of confused the FB group and the shooting range and FB banned it for being linked to the news story even tho they are 2 separate things

I have never been on FB except when I ask someone with one of those new fangled phones that gets internet service to check whats on sale at Young Guns. Sooo. . . Oahu Gun Club (news story) is not the same as Oahu gun club OP. Then there's OGC that stands for Oahu Gun Club. :-[

Yeah, I agree. I don't see facebook going away anytime soon, at least not in America where free speech would inhibit much of what a government could do to try and shut it down.

I could be wrong but I think there is an appeals process. The administrator should contact facebook to inquire why and ask to be reinstated.

yes, we are aware you could be wrong
that's why you never make a definitive statement

we are also aware of the appeals process
