When he's wearing a suit, I've seen the Hawaiian flag.

Here's one that's dated Jan 2018 and he has a disc shaped lapel pin.  I can't tell from my phone, but if I had to guess, it's the State Seal of Hawaii.

it was on or where the jacket pocket edge should be he wore it for both debates it seems Buddhist in shape to me, could be a logo
