Tupola blows Governor's race
« on: November 01, 2018, 09:04:02 PM »
http://www.staradvertiser.com/2018/10/30/breaking-news/gop-lieutenant-governor-candidate-marissa-kerns-blocked-from-debate/

Tupola just blew the governor's race with her stunt of , arguably, not informing the Lt. Gov. Candidate of the televised debate.

In my opinion, she didn't stand a chance anyway, but all my friends who were open minded are saying how can she run the government when she can't communicate with one person who is supposedly running for her second in command.

Ridiculous.

Tupola said she did, Kerns said she didn't. I think what hurts them most is they are publicly in disagreement instead of clearing it up privately and publicly apologizing for a miscommunication or something like that.

The problem I see is that Kerns is a Republican running as a Republican. Tupola is a Democrat running as a Republican (RINO). In other words, the two do not agree on most or all policies. Tupola already has a public record of mostly voting in lock step with the Democrats.

Why this was front page in the paper...who controls the media...

Still electing Tupuloa and not letting the media dictate who I vote for.

Let's not forget that Ige's LT left also.

This state is so dysfunctional,  no person with any ethics can get elected.
Only people the Oligarchs and the socialists select will be allowed to be elected.
Thankfully they are close to running out of local peoples money.
Hold on to your guns J. Green is coming for them and he has your address.
I already voted.

Kerns is a loony toon. Her comments about throwing the rail into the ocean, opening up conservation/preservation land to build houses and constant hypocritical statements (crying about housing for Hawaiians and others,  yet openly admits to owning multiple houses) is why not only Tupola wants nothing to do with her, but none of Tupola's supporters want anything to do with her. Kerbs has embarrassed the Republican party and shunned potential voters with her lack luster, unprofessional performance during the first during the first debate. I personally strongly dislike josh green, but even he looked like a better choice than kerns.

Also,  i don't know why kerns is crying about not being informed of the event when this event had been planned weeks in advance. I corresponded with multiple first time voters over the past 2 weeks, and all of them who knew about this event a long while ago.

I place most of the blame on Kerns, looks like she's arguing just to get attention for her race.  Why did Tupola have to tell her about the debate invitation since the Governor and Lt Governor are separate election races?  The debate host should've, or maybe did, tell her directly.

Tupola may have a spotty record on conservative issues, but the LT Gov candidate should not be calling her out on it during the election.  Tupola seems like a person that can talk to people and mediate matters well which is why I place most of the blame on Kern.

Doesn't matter.  They have zero chance of winning, even without the drama.

I believe it would be prudent to allow for a .001% chance of Tupola winning due to Russian hacking.

Forgot about the Russians.  I guess they have about as much chance as me winning the Mega Millions jackpot.  Ige is flooding the media with ads.  I have not seen one by Tupola.  Her campaign has no money.

I looked it up, her voting record doesn't seem that liberal to me. She spoke out against some new gun control legislation in the debate. Not sure I would consider her a RINO.

At least you have a choice, between awful and terrible, in almost all the races.
Who wants to bet that after the election, Caldwell will seek an increase in property taxes to pay for rail.
I can see the Filipino laughing every time rail is on the news.

Yes I get the same from the limited number of Democrats friends I have but they say they will vote for Ige just because he’s a democrat. Why am not surprised......

You really think the link you provided supports your statement?    You really think choosing the first link that comes up Google supports you?    More BS from you and more laziness in doing your due diligence here. Don’t tell me what you think until you have all of the information for you to analyze. If you are going to disagree with me the least you can do is come prepared. As the saying goes, you are taking a knife to a gun fight.

You are basing your statement on ONLY the “KEY” votes according to the website you provided. You think the 5 bills your website says she voted on in 2017 is enough to determine how she voted on all 20 bills in 2017? For your information she voted on all 20 bills in 2017. Did you know that? She cast a conservative vote 6 times out of the 20 bills. A whole 30%. Which means she voted with the liberals 70% of the time in 2017. In 2016 she voted conservative 33% of the time. And her lifetime record of voting conservative is 36%. So do you still think she is not a RINO? Don’t answer, I really don’t care what you think.

Once again, just stop. You are continuing to make a total and complete fool of yourself. Stop doing this as those that are laughing at you is disturbing my peace.
