let's see your fixed blade

what do have for a fixed blade?
could be tactical, hunting, survival, whatever.

this is my oldest fixed blade.  got it in the mid 80's
its a Blackjack, around 15 inches total length, maybe more
steel is 1075, so tougher than 1095, .31 inches thick.  grip is a rubber type grip.
knife is discontinued.  I paid around $60 new.  I see it on ebay now for 200-$300 range
now Blackjack knives are owned by Bark River and both brands look very similar.  i wouldn't mind getting a new Bark River or Blackjack blade.  now they use only tool steel, i think A2 or something like that
i used to use this knife for a hiking/trail knife, but i don't hike too much anymore
i didn't touch it for years and when i took it out a few weeks ago had some rust/tarnish on the blade i couldn't get totally off the steel
tried some flitz but didn't do anything by hand so i used a Dremel and that worked.

post up what you got

nice!  i didn't know they made knives.

Got it for $19.99 on the Glock website.  I think the price went up to $29.99 now.  Needed a Kbar.  Even though the handle is "plastic", I can't find anything wrong with the knife.  Nice solid and good sheath.  Especially for the price.

That Glock is nice.

I was thinking about getting a fixed blade as I just into knife sharpening with the wet stone.

P.s. Those old hickory carbons are dirt cheap and razor.

This is my EDC.  I carry it on my left side, tip up, as I am a lefty but I shoot right handed and my dominant eye is right.  I flattened the sharp top edge so it would be legal to carry as it is no longer a dagger.  It is hair popping sharp and I do not use it to cut anything as it is strictly my SD blade.

Kabar, everyone knows what they look like.  Do not carry it, too big for the type of shorts and tee I wear.

Machete by the nightstand, not a very glorious one, but should do butchery well enough.

Took me a while to post a pic, but here are some of my fixed blades. I have a couple that I leave in my car as well.

Left to right: (if you click on the pic)
ESEE 4  - One of two that I got in a group buy. The other is pretty beat up and is in my car.

Custom neck knife

Custom Damasus knife that I had a friend make based on my specs.

Custom knife that I got from a friend on a close out deal. One of his first that he sold when he first got started making custom knives. Sort of my TWD blade.  ;D

picked these up a while ago.  haven't really used either of them yet.
too big for EDC. might use the bottom one for work around the house. its like the little brother to my other fixed blade above the El Gigante.  leather sheath is really nice
top one is like the bigger brother to my Masada folder.  I have the sheath setup for horizontal cross draw, but can be changed to vertical or other angles.  the grip feels great in my hand too
