I bought this about a week ago:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003OX9KME/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It has free prime shipping, but at 105 lbs shipping weight, they added $27.99 additional shipping cost plus $26.29 state tax. I didn't mind.  I ordered it on 11/1, and it arrived 11/6 via FedEx.

Even so, the purchase price was  $529.99.  Today it's listed at $599.00.

Side note:  I bought a DeWalt job site table saw about 2 weeks ago for $429 at Lowe's in Waipahu.  The very next day on their website the price was $549.00.

That's twice I've purchased something expensive and the price was jacked up right after.  Normally when I buy expensive stuff, the price goes down almost immediately.  The Earth must be off its axis or something.   :shake:

I've noticed that also lately. A few years ago, it was the opposite which really burned my bacon because they refused to do a price adjustment. There are apps that will check to see if the price is really the lowest price. I should reinstall it. I often buy things that are on sale at Costco but wonder if it's really on sale or do they hope that no one remembers how much it cost last month.

I bought a small generator on Amazon Prime in 2015 and didn't get charged for shipping. I wonder if the policy changed. They were giving away a free month of Prime if a shipment was late. I got about a year free until they stopped the policy recently. If you complain now, they'll give you a $5 gift certificate.

I bought an office chair on Amazon last year for over $100. It turned out to be complete crap, so returned it but couldn't get the pieces into the original box. They allowed me to ship it back free in two boxes. When the UPS driver arrived to pick it up, he was also dropping off a replacement chair that I didn't order. They may have sent it to me by mistake but didn't want to have to go through the trouble of sending it back so refused the delivery. I always wondered what that was about.

I've also ordered heavy/large items in the past and gotten free prime shipping. I do notice they either updated the shipping settings right after for that product to not ship here, or they jack up the price in an attempt to recoup what they lost on my order.

I've gotten an HP all-in-one multifunction laser jet color printer/copier/scanner/fax, a set of step rails for my Tacoma, and a couple of Kreg sawhorse/work tables with solid steel frames (52 lbs each) with no additional shipping charges.
