Yet another anti-individual right to self defense weirdo

Seems every so often one of these strange liberty haters shows up on the local liberal BI newsrag, this is the latest incarnation should you want to smack one around:

"Wrong.

Our 2nd Amendment is, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Has nothing to do with self-defense. It's all about a militia (predates our armed services) being necessary to the security of a free State (government). It has, of course, been expanded greatly in interpretation by the courts over the years, but the original 2nd Amendment is all about supporting the State, and not about individuals and self-defense."

Strange how the Bill of Rights would include an amendment for the Governments rights among nine other individual rights.  So weird...

That’s like what I mention about 2a. It’s not the 3rd Amendment, not the 4th, not the 5th, but the 2nd. More likely to get rid of the all the other Amendments before getting rid of or changing the 2nd.

Sadly, unless the tide can truly shift, the 2nd will go away. Maybe not in the actual BoR but through apathy, ignorance, stupidity and unconstitutional legislation. Every bit of legislation they have passed since the inception of the Constitution is illegal and invalid. And made more so with the passing of the 14th Amendment. But our elected officials and appointed ministers keep passing more and more laws abridging our rights; and we keep letting them.

And while they didn't have a "Blue Wave", what we can see is a blue trickle. All it takes is the constant undercurrent and growth of the anti-2A crowd across our country to end it. Look at Nevada, Arizona and Texas. Once complete bastions of conservative values, solid "Red" states and very pro-2A. Now, not so much. Cruz came close to losing. Nevada lost out years ago when Vegas became little LA and is back to a Democrat Governor. Arizona has its new "Democrat" (actually socialist-communist) Senator. As the population centers grow, they always become more left leaning. Social services, welfare, etc... And now we have this new 3D weapons Ban bill coming forward. It may not pass, but they will pass more anti-2A bills and eventually strip us of our rights through the back door processes. The left will push and push until they get what they want.

Strange how the Bill of Rights would include an amendment for the Governments rights among nine other individual rights.  So weird...

The BoR is a Negative Bill of Rights for the Government. It says explicitly what the government cannot do. But it seems government can't read.

Keep fighting for our rights every day and hopefully it won't come to the 1780's or 1860's again. The people have no idea how bad that would be.
