Shooting at Green Valley Ranch (Vegas)
« on: January 07, 2019, 02:32:53 PM »
A friend called me to ask if I knew about it.  Happened on new years day.

When googling, same stories came up.  Man shot who entered casino with gun in hand.  As security approached, he raised the gun and was killed.

He had financial troubles and was losing his home and fired from his job.  Neighbors say they had no idea he was going through a rough time, nor that he even owned a gun.

However when checking my more trusted sites, it added that he had a suicide note on him and only 1 round in the chamber and empty mag.

Funny how that part is left out on most of the new stories.  He did have a robbery charge, but can't confirm if it was a felony and if it stuck.  But a DUI is mentioned in 2018.

Seems like death by cop was the plan.  Waiting on surveillance video.

What are your "more trusted sites"?
"The rifle is a weapon. Let there be no mistake about that. It is a tool of power, and thus dependent completely upon the moral stature of its user. It is equally useful in securing meat for the table, destroying group enemies on the battlefield, and resisting tyranny. In fact, it is the only means of resisting tyranny, since a citizenry armed with rifles simply cannot be tyrannized."
