Great video!! Looks like we need to canvas his neighborhood.  I know there are a lot of legal gun owners in that area.

I also would like to know who over sees what that Senator does?  Who , besides "the people", hold him accountable?

Hank you for everything that you're doing!

I think this has merit. Maybe we can have petition signing events in his district and show them he doesn’t vote according to them but how he feels they think. This can be done for others who vote anti gun

fixed it for you.

it's all about him.  not about his constituents at all.  all that power went to his head, "Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee."  it's obvious.  License to do whatever he wants.

Not surprised really.  In hindsight, my original testimony would have been more applicable:
Quote
I OPPOSE (Insert Bill).

Normally facts to reinforce my opposition are stated here but this will be ignored regardless whether the facts completely refute any and all claims to the contrary in favor of whatever deciet of choice.

Normally I would state that one has a resposibility to the citizens of the State of Hawaii but this will be ignored in favor of continued repression and blatant abuse of power by disregarding the Constitution of the State of Hawaii and the Constitution of the United States of America as well as by completely ignoring constituents in order to further whichever agenda one desires.

Thank you for not taking any time to read this.  My point is made in full.
I mean really, if it's not going to matter, I may as well write how I really feel...

Bleah...  K, done ranting...

Maybe all the Reps need to be asked these or similar questions, recorded, and then compiled into an infomercial for the next election cycle.  "These are your so called Representatives".

I ran a recall petition in Oregon for a guy who was recorded on camera saying "slavery was right for the times"  He was put in office by Bloomberg to vote anti-gun.  Bloomberg spent the most on him for any Oregon state election in all of history.   He won by 200 votes.
Our recall got crushed even with a old white guy saying "slavery was right" in a liberal city with regular black lives matter and other anti trump protests.

It rarely matters what the reps do or say if the people who control the government want them there.

This is an e-mail shared with us by a member and with their consent We think It’s a good example to share.

Senator Rhoads,
My name is REDACTED and I live on REDACTED Ave in Honolulu, in your senate district. I was also at the town hall meeting the other night when you stood up to defend your position on passing bills SB600, SB621, SB1322, & SB1466 through your Judicial Committee. Your argument was that because of Hawaii’s strict gun control measures along with the isolation we have as a state, there haven’t been any serious incidents involving guns. This is true, thankfully we haven’t had any serious incidents, yet you continue to propose ever-tightening and restrictive measures on firearms ownership. My question to you is when is enough, enough?? Your continued support for these more intrusive regulations will only make law abiding citizens criminals! Ive been a legal firearms owner for the last 27 years. Since I’ve been in Hawaii I have followed the letter of the law and jumped through the hoops you and the rest of the legislature have put in front of me. I’m proud to say that I have maintained my right to legally own firearms in spite of your efforts. My frustration comes from the fact that every year I have to fend off your ever encroaching efforts to criminalize my hobby and now, profession. These bills do absolutely nothing to fight crime as criminals simply skirt the law, you are targeting law-abiding, tax-paying citizens with a steady march towards gun confiscation and sincerely wish you would consider this.

Your words the other evening indicated to that you were unconcerned that “one side of the issue had organized better than the other..” and that you were only concerned with the opinion your own constituency. Well sir, I am one of your constituents and I wish you hadn’t taken our opinion so lightly.

I appreciate your time.
Sincerely,
REDACTED

i wonder if "Moms Demand Action" is lining his pockets with 30 pieces of silver... or Bloomberg, or Soros, etc.  Campaign contributions, re-election fund.  that would poke a hole in his reasoning that because one side is more organized, to justify disregard and ignore.
