He's probably losing cause his spurs are cut,  meanwhile the wild chicken still has his.  So when he kicks,  although he might be making contact there is no spur
Humans remove the spur because that's where they tie the knife.

I've only bet on cock fighting once in the Philippines. While in Rome... Towns have large arenas where a family could make a week's worth of income for one fight, if their rooster wins. If not, then they're out of the entry fee. I bet on the bigger of the two roosters. When it died, practically every one in the arena had to pay up, and the owner of the small rooster was well paid. I have seen a couple cages in Waipahu, but no arenas...

I was at work and he got into it with the locals again. Same thing they withdrew to uneven ground and got him off balance again. Mrs. Barrels pulled them apart but he was bleeding a lot and feathers all stuck together by the time I got home. Put him in the sink and washed him, surprisingly enough he seemed to relax and enjoy the attention. Doesn't look like he will last very long in the wild but he's a pleasure to hang around so will make him an enclosure and let him out only under supervision to prevent more fights. Someone forgot to put in the "quit" when they made him, although it probably has a lot to do with his training as well.

I can't imagine handling a chicken with knives, and it's no wonder he was raised to be so friendly. It's basically like picking up a mini velociraptor.

I’m becoming clinically undepressed and thinking about beginning it all.

if He’s trained, he’s not gonna turn and run.

Here’s a classic video. What appear to be 2 hennies square up and the rooster appears to referee.

Be careful because even natural spurs can mess you up pretty good if the rooster is mature and fires off on you.
