Oh ignorant youth, the world is not a joyous place. The time has come for you to dispense with the frivolous pleasures of childhood and get down to honest toil until you are sixty-five. Then and only then can you relax and collect your social security and live happily until the time of your death!

Racis!

the funny part is going to be when the left tries to say "dropped charges" = innocent
whereas "not exonerated" = guilty!

I'm sure the decision to drop all the charges was the result of a completely objective evaluation of all the evidence, including the grand jury indictment on 16 felony counts. (No doubt the grand jury is composed of Klan members...)

And I'm likewise sure that had all the same evidence been presented in a case where a white man alleged a similar attack by Black Lives Matter persons, with equally questionable evidence, wherein the grand jury indicted on 16 counts for false claims, that the same result would have followed. Right?

My theory...
Spell your name funky, then the courts will make a typo error and the defense attorney can ask to dismiss because they arrested the wrong person

You guys gotta dig deeper.  Who are his friends in high places.  What would be his motive to stage this (what else was going on at the time).  Chicago PD pissed about this.

Nevermind white privilege, liberal privilege is way stronger.

It appears the Asst. State Attorney felt the crime was not really that big a deal. As TMZ noted: “You’ll recall State’s Attorney Kim Foxx recused herself from the case. She reportedly had asked cops to stand down at the behest of Tina Tchen – Michelle Obama’s former Chief of Staff and a friend of Jussie’s family. The conflict forced Foxx to bow out.

I predicted a slap on the wrist a few weeks ago. ...He didn't even get a slap on the wrist.

But he surely got name recognition now.

Don't forget the $400K Soros donated to Foxx.

He's still too busy. The Dims in Congress want him to testify once they get a chance to trash read his report.

I hope Smollett follows through on his PD lawsuit.

The Prosecutor, Mayor and Cops are already pissed enough. Getting his political buds to drop the charges was one thing. Claiming the police, prosecutor, and grand jury all got 16 felony counts wrong either out of intentionally or negligently reaching the wrong conclusion isn't going to help matters.

Besides, he's not innocent. He cut a deal. The forfeiture of $10,000 bail is proof. Nobody donates $10K to the city/county as a parting gift when they are innocent.

You show up for court or the case is dismissed, then you get the bail money returned.  If you use a bondsman, they keep 10% you put up rather than pay the whole bail amount to the court.

That's how it works. To "forfeit" the $10K, he had to have made bail directly to the court. Otherwise, the bondsman would keep the $10K.

For him to sue, he would have to prove the arrest was unfounded.

An entire grand jury disagrees.

He was not only afforded due process, but he was also given special treatment in the style of Hillary Clinton.

No law suit.

Lawsuit for the entertainment of seeing an epic fail.  Not for him to win.

Unfortunately, these kinds of lawsuits never go to court. They just bilk the tax payers when the gov't decides it's cheaper, easier and less embarrassing to settle .... exactly what the complaining lawyers hope for.
