The residents of NJ should be outraged that their tax dollars are going to be used to defend the school in a lawsuit.

Very good example how violating one Amendment makes it easier to violate the rest of them.  As NJ has no issues violating the 2nd, violating the 1st is even easier, especially when the concerned party is minor by age.

Lets say as an example, a student has a reputation for being a murderer.  Obviously there isn't conclusive  evidence of this since they are not in jail.  The school expels the student based on what "everyone" believes to be true.  This example is no different from what the school has done by suspending students for participating in a legal activity that the school believes "is not conducive to a learning environment" (generic catch-all B.S. phrase, not a quote).

The only FACT is that the students went to a gun range.  If there is nothing that can be acted upon by Law Enforcement, there is nothing that can be acted upon by anyone.
