Notre Dame Catherdral on Fire

So a few days ago they arrested a Muslim because he was planning an attack on the cathedral.

Fast forward a few days and not it's on fire.  Cells in play?

I wonder if it is terrorism related, the French will admit it.  Or are they going to black it out like how they did the yellow vest protest, that is still going very strong.

"The fire was started by a power tool that was left plugged in".  Since they did say no one was in the Church at the time.  But vid is circulating of someone walking around the pillars on the top floor and guess what kind of garment he was wearing...nuthin to see here.

Forgot to add, 10+ other catholic churches vandalized or set a fire this week alone.

some french islamic organization will contribute a few euros.  Macron will have the burned-down spire replace with a minaret.  maybe a minaret design from 12th century or so, so it is period correct.

I find it interesting that there are millions being donated or planned on being donated.  Doesn't the Catholic Church have billions?

Hope the church says that they will use that money for the homeless French, or other like people who need the help.

The church is owned by the French govt and leased to the church.  That's why Macron is making promises to rebuild it in 5 years.

Private donations should be left to the donors to decide how it's used.

As for the Catholic Church, I'm sure they will make contributions and hold fundraisers to assist.

It took a century and a half to be built. Five years to repair seems very optimistic. However, since renovations and repairs were already underway, maybe "demolish and rebuild" makes it easier than "refurbish and preserve."

Engineers say 800 year old oak doesnt burn like that....if it arson, guess what group would start it?
