I thought Time magazine went belly-up a long time ago... but here they are providing a platform online for the director and founder of "Guns Down America" to tell us how to use "tactics" of the NRA to achieve total control of guns (i.e. eliminate them from civilian hands): Redefine what it means to be a "patriotic American" with regard to guns. It should mean "The firearms industry MUST be "regulated". [my quotes... because he implies it isn't currently regulated and doesn't say at all what "regulation" means to him] And people who choose to own a firearm need to PROVE to their neighbors and community that they can own one responsibility." I can hardly wait to read his criteria for proving that...since he uses ther term "raise the bar", maybe something like having to prove you are "an exceptional case"? Yeah, that should do it. How patriotic! Fucking assholes.

Then he would have to prove to the government, friends and neighbors that you could speak and write responsibly before being allowed to spew his pseudo-intellectual emesis.

Yep.... and assemble, and petition the government. Same with all the other natural pre-existing civil rights listed in the Bill of Rights to be protected from government infringement. You'd have to "prove to your neighbors and community" that you ought not be subject to unwarranted searches and seizures, had a right to a trial by a jury of your peers, etc. How can anyone take these people seriously, and/or not despise them?

He's talking about group identity while standing in front of a depressing urban background and wearing a tshirt under a suit jacket. The whole thing screams out of touch liberal. In other words his community knows how to run things if everyone else would just get out of their way. All the liberal run cesspool cities are somehow Trump/NRA's fault.

TIME also named Christine Ford as top 100 most influential.  So that will tell you all you need to know if you already didn't stop reading the "clip".

Yeah, that's the socialist egalitarian Utopia!
