unfortunately the RSO who was opening the the range on Thursdays can no longer do it so it's gone the way of the Dodo. only options are some saturdays and every sunday. Im always looking for an excuse to shoot some trap so just let me know. Don't normally shoot at Kokohead that much anymore (I go to Schofield) but will go to Kokohead if you want.
Darn. Sorry to hear that. I have base access, so Schofield is doable. They still do trap Wed nights?

Trap is Sat and Sun at Koko Head, right? I’ll have to get back to you, but would any particular day be good for ya?

any saturday or sunday is good.... will check on the range avail on schofield and pass it along to you. AFAIK the Wed opening of the trap range might be ok but we'll probably be shooting with the lights on which I've never done but hey might be fun! will get back yo you later on that...

Cool!

Forgot the next two Weds are Christmas and New Years Day.  Sat and Sun generally works for me.  I'm taking some time off the next two weeks and I figured Koko Head would be crowded on the weekends since it's the holidays.  I also remembered from when I was an SRGC member that Weds was one of the popular nights.

HGS has a couple of TriStar O/U in stock (12 and 20 ga). Very tempting. But then I’d have to wait until like Easter to shoot it.

All this talk is giving me the urge to go back to Lanai Pines

Is that the one where you talk through the trees (pines) and have shooting stations?

My sister and BIL did one on Lanai and they both loved it.  I would take them to the range here and there along with my dad, but they are by no means "gun people" and they absolutely loved it.  If I went with them, I'd make sure I shot last in the group.   ;D

Yup, that’s the one.  It’s a world class Sporting Clays course, it’s definitely walkable, but you get a golf cart.  I remember seeing it on ESPN a very long time ago.  Wife almost bagged a turkey on one station - dummy flew out right in between the clay and her.  We only had #8 shot so it mostly bounced off the feathers.
