What's the most you've ever paid for a firearm?

Rifle, shotgun or pistol, doesn't matter.  Don't have to list make and model if you don't want to (in case you're thinking of selling it and don't want everyone to know what you've paid) but do let us know what type of firearm it was.

The most I've ever paid for a single firearm was $2000 for a custom built pistol.

Most I ever paid for a firearm was about $1200 on an AR. Which isn't that bad I guess, but I spent $1300 on an optic once.

$800 on a second-hand Beretta O/U shotgun.  Excellent deal... should I ever decide to sell it, I can probably double that.  Not that I'll ever sell it... so far, it's the only gun I've shot a perfect trap score with!

Mine is a LMT MRP with rifle length handguard for around 1850 with tax. It was a special order that I paid more than half upon placing the order, so I didn't take the hit all at once.

H&K SP89 from SEC. Bought 2 of them in 1991 from Cyrus at cost for $849 each.  Sold one of them for 4 times that on auction arms.

My Masaki built 9mm Springfield 1911 race gun cost a total of $1400 back in 1992.  Awesome gun. Getting it tuned up again. More $. Spent over $2k on it total.

Remmy originally started as a Remington VLS.  Had Remmy worked on by Mel Chung - he shortened my Factory barrel and trued the action.  Mel also installed a Timney Trigger and parkerized the entire gun.  I placed the action in a Fajen laminated stock.  I replaced the laminated stock with  an HS Precision Adjustable (Length of Pull and Cheek Height) Stock a few years after that....  A few years after that I wanted a bit more so I asked Wayne Takeshita to do his magic with a Spencer Stainless Steel "light varmint" bead blasted fluted barrel in a 308 Match chamber.  He also bedded the action to my HS Precision Stock.  A few years after that, I saved some buckerunies to add a Tasco Super Sniper 10 by 40 by 30mm Scope.  Remmy shoots awesome!  I calculated the overall cost and did not realize how much mula went to her.  Remmy looks like not much was done except maybe a stock and new barrel, however sometimes the best guns look like sleepers...  Maybe a few years after this will get a Nightforce Scope...  Only time will tell...
