If anyone in government had a clue, they'd have been sending out fake memos within the groups saying the National Guard is coming every week or so.

Then, when the troops don't appear -- time after time -- everyone would be conditioned to not believe the memos.

After that is when the Guard shows up ... and nobody else bothers to come.   :rofl:    :thumbsup:

They meet with the law enforcement every morning supposedly to "discuss the days events"

They think nothing about burning the US flag, but when they use the Hawaiian flag as a barricade on an illegally built structure and it gets damaged in the removal  process, they get all huhu.

Let the stupidness continue.  It reflects well on our state and local government.

I didn't get around to doing it but I wanted to make a sign that read "Imua TMT" and take it up to an overpass for their group gas wasting trip last Sunday. I am curious how they would have reacted.

If anyone else is on Instagram, look up the account "dumbdumbhaole". He has some pretty epic trolling of the protesters.

But being inclusive doesn’t mean that Leimomi shies from controversy. Even if she’s not the gun-toting policewoman of her younger days, she’s still feisty and assertive. She is often an iconoclast, and that can put her at odds with others. She is currently a vocal supporter of the Thirty-Meter Telescope that has been approved for construction on the summit of Mauna Kea. The project is being fought by a segment of the Hawaiian community that considers it a desecration of a sacred site. Momi disagrees. “I believe totally in getting the new telescope built on Mauna Kea,” she says. “Our ancestors studied the heavens. Now a new generation of Hawaiians can have the opportunity to advance what they discovered. A telescope that can accomplish this maintains the sacredness of the mountain. With this and in other ways, we need to be open to the future to carry us forward to the many tomorrows yet to come.”

So now Ige and some other officials are getting death threats over the TMT issue.  Someone offerred a $5000 reward for the identity of the cop that cut the flag.

Certainly this cannot becoming from the peaceful TMT protectors, or can it?

Tracing to a device is possible.  Identifying who used the device is more difficult, especially if in a workplace or public location, like a library.

This is what happens when the state officials demonstrate weakness.  The protesters know they can get what they want by threats, intimidation and disruption.  Had Ige stopped the illegal BS months ago, the idiots would have not been encouraged to escalate like this.

The concept is no different than negotiating with terrorists.   Once you give in to one, the next will demand more, and the next more.  As long as you demonstrate weakness, they know they at least have a chance of getting what they want.
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.
