Explains why protestors showed up at a TMT financial sponsor's home in California this weekend.

It's 60º in Palo Alto right now (10PM).

Watching evening news and they said the camp has dwindled down to about 150 due to the harsh conditions as winter approaches.  It is not even half way thru fall.  Temps are getting down to high 30s already at night.
....
Reality bites, eh?

How about get a bunch of pro-tmt activists to block the road to the anti-tmt camp.
Hilarious!
Would the protesters call the police to clear the road?

As expected, any future projects of any kind are going to be met with "community" opposition.
Therefore no investor is going to build anything anywhere any more.
We can thank the maunalolos for this.

I don't want to hear any complaints about depressed economy or jobs for our keiki.

Shipman Park is a nightmare to get out of, especially during rush hours.  I don't know how many acres they need, but the BI get plenty vacant land.

It was cold last night on the BI.  Mauna Kea summitt got down to 19 degrees F last night.  Wonder how cold it got where the A'ole TMT camp is.

Hopefully, with the proliferation of the Internet, new generations will understand that the only thing sacred is life -- existing and future.  Deceased relatives aren't going to begrudge a spot of land from the living.

I'm planning to be cremated.  I have yet to decide where I want my ashes spread.  Needless to say, my list includes places owned by people who can afford to pay my family millions for the privilege of desecrating that soon-to-be "sacred" spot.    :geekdanc:
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

This article makes sense and I would really like to see what would happen if they did.

Well it is going to be an interesting next 7 days up on the mauna.  LEOs from all agencies are leaving today and the protecters have been given a deadline of Dec 26 to remove all their structures and barricades and themselves.  We will see what happens.

radio says the deadline to get off the mauna for the protestors is 12/26, or they'll get arrested
why didn't they give the deadline from day 1?  if this was the end game all along, could've saved a bunch of money and drama.    :grrr:

This was our Amazon HQ opportunity. We don't want it. We also could be like Silicone Valley but we don't want it. We want regression.
