That's what happens when you get a shit degree from an expensive school.  Then expect a job opening and don't work hard for it.

you racist.

Funny story, just talked to my friend in WA.  He sells cars and is the only Asian guy there.  They send him to all kinds of conferences in other states.  I told him, affirmative action that's why.  He said, yup 100%.  Cause for sales, he's slightly above average.  But even heard the top sales guys grumbling who they used to be the ones to go, but not anymore.

Told him try show up to work in BBD's and see if he gets fired.  Reverse racism.

Dating is another word for "courting".  It's a stage you go through when looking for companionship, relationships and marriage.

Young men and women have discovered online sites that facilitate hooking up fulfills their needs without the emotional and financial requirements involved in dating.

Since many are also opting to have no children or have them much later in life, settling down and raising a family no longer motivates people to date.

Times and life-choices have changed.  I believe many of these people who say they can't afford to date probably wouldn't date that much more if they had the funds.

I'm broke.  I don't date.  Therefore, it follows that being broke is why I don't date.

Maybe both situations are driven by the same underlying causes: lack of desire to have a family, late starts in career and having children, and alternative forms of dating without all the cost and effort normally involved.

Quote
"Millennials are very ambitious. They are terrified of catching feelings and getting into relationships that they can't  (financially or mentally) manage," said Fisher, who referred to courtship in the digital age as "slow-love."

"Two-thirds of people in their 20s still live at home," she said, "not because they are lazy but because they are saving their money and they really feel that they need to get their career and finances in order before they marry."
Too many socially awkward millennials who can’t really to other people “live”, not online, via games, texts, etc.

I would take chicks to my grandparents. Not only did we get a free meal but they got excited that I was introducing them to my family. Dating sucks but it’s not a cash contest.

Logged expenses once. Single cmo vs. Relationship cmo. $700 a month difference. This was back in 2008.

Old timers back some centuries ago have complained about millennials of their time using paper instead of chalk and stone slabs, and not knowing how to clean the chalk off without getting dusted by the chalk.
Would you imagine that? Complaining about millennials.

What previous generations have built for the future is what you see now. Though, it isn’t too late to fix it.

Bottom line, if you want a lady, if you want a Mustang, if you want an M107a1, if you want whatever, you'll find a way.  All the time I hear guys say they wish they had enough time for this or that.  Brother, if you wanted enough time/money for video games, guns, booze, fishing, whatever, you would find a way.

Girls are snobs in some cities. Not gold diggers per se but financial and social elevation definitely concern them a bit more than it should, and as a result they get into empty marriages where everything is wonderful on Instagram but real life is a dreary monotony of trying to jockey for prestige in their peer group. The high national divorce rate speaks for itself as well, and might be another reason some choose to avoid courtship.

People stop reproducing when their lives seem meaningless, the population dips, and cheap labor must be brought over from foreign countries to replace them. This might help explain why Democrats seem to love illegal immigrants more than American citizens.

It's been said many times by many women for many decades:

you marry your first husband for a car,

your second husband for a house,

and your third husband for love.

Financial independence for women used to be much more difficult to achieve, so divorce settlements represented windfalls.  After they became financially secure, they could be less pragmatic about who they allow to "woo" them.

I've also seen ads from women on Craigslist looking for dates.  Sooooo many said "no broke-ass boys looking for a sugar mama need respond."  You see it all the time where a deadbeat takes advantage of a woman with good income by charming the cash out of their bank accounts.

I guess the pragmatism goes both ways in the world of "romance".

That seems pretty extreme (second paragraph especially). Is it true? Probably, but dayum.  ;D

Check out whats happening in Sweden. The population started declining and there was a panic because there will not be enough adult labor in the next 20-30 years so their solution was to open the gates without thinking over the consequences. History is full of examples of societies that have made that mistake in the past. The claim that they stopped reproducing because of sterile socialist boredom is all conjecture on my part but then again you see some of the kids running off to join ISIS and have to wonder what is going on in their lives that could possibly inspire them to do something that?

Don't even mention getting married, girls these days are very hard to deal with. I had a fiancee and we were planning to getting married next summer. We started the preparations but after seeing how greedy she was I had to cancel all the preparations and broke up with her. Seriously, she wants a brand new car, a full furnished house, a property in Athens to spend the summer vacations, a luxurious wedding in Phuket.. And she was expecting me and my family to pay for all these stuff. Sorry but better to pour money down the drain rathole.

I recall the herbivore thing in Japan where the males were more interested in staying home, playing video games, skinny jean wearing, etc.  That was about 4-5 years ago when I was dating a few girls from Japan.  I know birth rates there were dropping fast during that time.  Not sure if that has since changed, but I doubt it.

I also recall a radio program recently where they were discussing the effects of low birth rates in that country maybe 20-25 years ago now where there's going to be a shortage of "middle age workerbee" types.  I can't recall the country, but I want to say parts of China and India.  Seems similar to your example of Sweden, but without the open gates thing.
