Like I said, the "assault weapons" ban is just a stepping stone to a handgun ban.

2017-400 rifle deaths vs. thousands of handgun deaths.  Logic would conclude, since they banned the AR which is so little compared to handguns, let's do handguns next.

Handgun Control, Inc., founded 1974 by Mark Borinsky as the National Council to Control Handguns. It is now known as the Brady Campaign.

In 1974, the United Methodist General Board of Church and Society formed the National Coalition to Ban Handguns, In 1989 the National Coalition to Ban Handguns changed its name to the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence, in part because the group believed that assault weapons as well as handguns, should be outlawed.

That didn't take long:

"Fewer, although still a sizable 67 percent majority, favor banning assault rifles and semi-automatic weapons."

Fox News Poll: Most back gun restrictions after shootings

I wish they would have asked people to define "assault rifle" and "semi-automatic weapons".

Also, only 3% (three) challenged the question stating as fact that mass shootings happen more frequently in the U.S. than any other country.
