Gallop Poll: Fewer Democrats Today than 2016
« on: August 26, 2019, 11:58:13 AM »
Q:  In politics, as of today, do you consider yourself a Republican, a Democrat or an independent?

                              Republicans     Independents     Democrats
                                      %                        %                     %
2019 Jul 1-12               29                       38                    27
           ;
2016 Nov 1-6               27                       36                    31

Q: (Asked of independents) As of today, do you lean more to the Democratic Party or the Republican Party?

Figures are combined party identifiers + leaners

Republicans + Republican leaners               Democrats + Democratic leaners
                                                     %                                                                     %
2019 Jul 1-12                              45                                                                     44
       :
2016 Nov 1-6                              43                                                                     46

As I read it, this shows a 2% shift away from the Democrat party and 2% to the Republican party.  That represents an almost 4% shift if they all voted in 2016 and will vote again in 2020.

Republican and Independent respondents are both up about 2%, but Democrats are DOWN more than those 2 categories combined.

interesting.  The individual results fluctuate week-to-week, but the trend is definitely indicating a shift away from the DNC and toward Ind and GOP.

Obviously no Hawaiians included in the poll.
Hawaiians will vote for a glass of water if there is a "D" after it.

So not a huge change.  I wonder if they asked those 13,000,000 illegal voters the question?

I am starting to think the pendulum has started to swing back our way now.
