Depending on the situation it could be considered part of making a threat which is illegal.

The guy was an idiot though. The neighbor had a restraining order on him. What did he think would happen?

The "no contact order" was issued for the WOMAN who commented, not the MAN he made the gesture toward.

So, your question and insult premised on him having a restraining order against him filed by the neighbor is 100% WRONG.

Sarcasm follows,

Maybe the state of Pennsylvania regards "rape threats" as OK but not "shooting threats"?  The other guy stuck a double F you with his middle fingers which, if taken literally like they are doing with the finger gun guy, it means that the middle finger guy intended to rape the finger gun guy...twice in fact.  So we could consider the finger gun guy performing an act of self defense against a rapist, which seems reasonable actually.

Probably more so because they didn't catch the middle finger guy on camera (it was his camera after all).  ::)

However, the high court found the gesture of imitating the firing and recoiling of a gun “risked an altercation” and supported the charge. The neighbor also reported feeling insecure, which is why the call to 911 was placed.

The DA’s Office said there was an ongoing history of confrontations between Kirchner, the neighbor and a female acquaintance of Kirchner’s who witnessed the gesture. The woman has a “no contact” order against the neighbor.
Gesture "risked an altercation"?!  Oh man!  Lots of folks could get in trouble if that was truly a standard of conduct that could get one in trouble. . .

Have you ever seen deaf folks argue?  I'm serious.  It can be down right violent!  I mean it get's physical as their way of interrupting is to slap each other's hands.  When I was in Vegas a few weeks ago, the Deaf Pro Poker league was at the Venetian.  Seeing them argue on the sides was pretty eye opening.   :o

With the "ongoing history of confrontations", I bet there's lots more to this story. . .

I wonder if all the sensitives are going to fo after that kid that broke Usain bolts record. He starts off his races with the quick draw from the hip. single action style at the camera during the camera intros/sweep down in the line.

I stand corrected. But what I don't understand is why you insist on being such a dick when someone gets something wrong. Did you lose the art of civility or just never learn it to begin with?

I'm being a dick because it's the only thing you seem to understand.

You never want to admit when you're wrong, so it's a pleasure to yank your chain when the opportunity is handed to me on a silver platter.

I admit I am wrong when I am wrong. It has happened a few times but not as often as you would like to think.

Funny thing though, most other people on the forums know how to interact with people socially without resorting to insults like an elementary school child.

Yeah.  Real mature of you.

(p.s. That's a rhetorical question.  We all know the answer.)

Hypocrites like to call others names then cry about being insulted first.

Would that sort of behavior qualify a person for a red flag confiscation? It seems rather "aggressive" and "threatening".

an assault gesture that uses multiple high powered fingers that has one or more features...
1. jewlery that draws the attention of innocents attracted to shiny things
2. long sleeve forearm shroud that allows the wrist to be held with the other hand.
