Well thank goodness our Walmart stores here are so modern.
None of those evil guns and ammo.

Other than from a 2a princiPLE basis, I couldn’t care less nor do I think Walmart will be significantly affected.

Have some shooting buddies in Alaska who have mentioned some local outcry. That said, most those who shoot often don’t get their ammo from Walmart. Some might avoid based on 2a principle, but like many places around the US, plenty of Walmart “usuals” to keep them in business.

Also banned ("asked") open carry. (Followed by Kroger later in the day.) Also asked White House for further "gun control" measures. Here's their terminology re the ammunition banned: "sales of short-barrel rifle ammunition".

On August 15, 2019, CBS News quoted [Walmart CEO] McMillon suggesting  Congress should reconsider instituting an “assault weapons” ban. McMillon said, “The reauthorization of the assault weapons ban should be debated to determine its effectiveness in keeping weapons made for war out of the hands of mass murderers.”

80% of any single other item that Walmart sells has probably killed more people than cheap ammo. Stop selling tobacco and alcohol if you want to make a difference in body count. PC, fear mongering, and propaganda rules the day in America. Sad, very sad.

That's funny because it has already been determined, by years of implementation, that it's didn't do squat.... Especially to criminals that don't give a damn about laws.... SMFH

Banning the sale of cars will save 110 lives every day...... It's a no-brainer.

Yeah, AND... there's no pesky constitutional amendment standing in the way of a total ban... no "right of the people to keep and use modes of transportation, shall not be infringed".

Seems like using the criteria of "if it saves just one life" and "for the children" and "do something" that it should have happened long long ago. Yet not one single one of the 20 Dem presidential candidates has ever even mentioned it. Hmmm.

What percentage of Walmart shoppers actually petitioned Walmart to enact this policy? My guess ~0.005%

But on a serious note, this tactic has been getting more and more prevalent: if activists can’t elect representatives who will legislate their demands, they’ll enact dr facto legislation directly through the business via social media.

People are testing the "no open carry request" of Walmart at various locations around the country with varying responses at different stores. The most serious so far, this guy gets banned from all Walmarts nationwide for open carry. The security cop explains that he broke no laws but that "it isn't a good idea". That's where we are folks, one person thinks "it's not a good idea" and they call the cops... and we've seen what can sometimes happen when that happens.

Speaking of (lack of) logic, another chain store has just banned open carry. Here is their announcement on Twitter:

Notice that they do not state that there is any correlation, much less causation, between legal open carry and crime.

They then assert that because some people "feel unsafe" they are banning open carry. First, please note that "unsafe" (or "safe") is not a "feeling", i.e. a physiological/"emotional" response ("fear"/"anxiety" or "calm"/"relaxed" are "feelings"), but is a judgment or evaluation. The people making such a judgment that a situation is "unsafe" because a person is lawfully open carrying are just plain wrong in that judgment. There is no data to support that judgment. This is how people make rules for other people: Completely irrational erroneous conclusions based upon no data at all, then justifying the false conclusion by mistakenly attributing it to "feelings". SMH.

I was trying to look up revenue for Kmart when they stopped selling ammo and guns after Columbine.  IDK if this is accurate, so someone else can verify.  But prior to the ban, they made about $30+ billion a year.  After and till today, it went down to $25Billish.  So an average of $5 billion less in revenue.

Not to mention the Kmart here closed down, but might be unrelated.
