The guy next to me had his family with him.  He had two Ruger 10/22s - one stock and one with a pink tacticool stock (I think for his daughter).

It was fun to see all three of them running to check their targets.

I could hear those from the shooting bays. It was loud even from there. Can't imagine how loud it was being right next to the gun! Damn

I stayed on rifle side, #45. Somebody (the next bench over) shooting 308 left my ears ringing. Duckfats 22 sent a bunch of shells my way. Still a good day even though it was really windy.

I shot a desert eagle in 44 and 50 in Norm Chung's handgun safety class. It did not look beastly like that.....

Good to meet you as well. No worries, brass catchers are overrated.

Is it required to have brass catchers?  If not, what do you guys do with all the brass you just used? Do you guys sweep them up or in any way try to clean up your mess(even though it might be kinda hard distinguishing what's yours or not) or do you guys just leave em?

No it isn't required. People who are collecting brass via a catcher usually reload or are just being considerate neighbors. Since I do not have a brass catcher, I just sweep up the brass in my area. Not sure if there are any rules about cleaning up your brass but as range users I see it as our responsibility to clean up spent casings as a small way of maintaining the only public range we have.

Not required as far as I know. Wouldn't help when your casings are hitting the ceiling. I always sweep up around my bench, mine or not. Ive even seen the RO's sweep up when casings go behind the yellow line. (slipping hazard) But yeah, take care of the range.

I've been wondering if I should just bring a catcher. I don't plan on reloading yet but knowing that I could use it makes me not want to waste it.

Can I catch the casings and just store them for reloading some years later? Or do I have to buy special "reloading casing"?



Also, is it ever worth it(price wise) to buy ammo online?

Yes you can just store the brass.  Keep in mind this is brass not steel or aluminum casing.  No special reloadable casing other than it being brass.
