I was back in the mainland for a while to take care of some business and had some time to make some videos of a couple of my guns.  Here is a video I put together of my 1950s M3A1 Submachine Gun.  I hope you guys enjoy it.

A bit higher rate of fire than the one I was issued when driving the ordnance truck around.   Always supected the recoil spring was worn out.

You do a much better job of holding the muzzle down.  My gun lurched and bounced all over the place.  Pop-pop-pop-pop, about that fast.

I made the observation at the time that a 1911 might have just as good a rate of fire and accuracy on target.

My experience with a Thompson without shoulder stock was just the opposite.  Very fast rate of fire and you could easily hold the rounds on target from the hip
