I'm just guessing, but I think it was an overreaction by Heavies when I asked the mods to delete EEF's comment that was nothing more than a personal attack with juvenile pornographic language.
A Mod could have PM'ed me about it or just deleted the ad hominem post. Instead -- a thread with over 50 pages of posts was LOCKED!!
For some reason, everyone is supposed to be "civil" on here -- except the HPD troll. He has always been protected for some reason. The rest of us get called out.
If I return an insult, I'm wrong. The other party isn't called out.
If I post an OPINION, it's deemed trolling. Nothing called out re: actual trolling from others.
If I report a comment for their consideration, I'm "whining". So, why even have a link for "Report to Moderator"?
I asked WHY the problem with picture posting wasn't being fixed, and again I'm "trolling." Never mind I have experience with Linux, Windows, Mac OS/X, all flavors of Unix, SMF, Kunena and other forum-style applications, IRC Chat, PHP, scripting, several Content Management Systems (CMS), several database engines like MySQL and MariaDB, application integration, programming, testing and problem solving -- and those are just the skills that are applicable to this site. I have a self-managed Virtual Machine on a paid provider's service that costs me $275/year. If I wanted to have a new forum -- other than the one's I've set up already -- I could, and it only costs my time.
if they explained the problem, maybe someone here has the answer. 2aHawaii is not the only forum ever to exist in the universe that is the Internet. If the problem is one related to site administration, that too can be solved if they only bother to discuss it.
