Kuike Kamakea-Ohelo, Save our Sherwoods president, said the protest isn’t about a park.

“We will no longer allow for the continued desecration of our sacred places,” he said. "If you do nothing, nothing happens.”

Been thankfully off Oahu for ten years.

What and where is Sherwood forest,  And why should I slow down if I was there?

I find it hilarious that the city/state keeps pushing 'climate change', want to tax the hell out of us to 'fix it', yet they turn around and cut down a forest, and pave it over.....

Well, Caldwell showed more courage than Ige and Kim.  He ordered the road and entry cleared and 28 people got arrested.  Heavy equipment was moved in and the work continued.

I think the guys protesting Sherwoods have a better argument than those protesting the TMT.

I go to Oahu every month, sometimes twice a month and stay at least a week on my friend's farm in Waimanalo.  I have noticed Waimanalo Beach Park is running out of space for the homeless.  The new park will give them more space and maybe the ones currently camping around the boat ramp and Shriners can move there.
