Went to the 9th Island and got to enjoy freedom for a week (CCW).
Realized that carrying AIWB is a real pain in the ass. Especially when you have to pee or crap due to pistol being in the way and the belt buckle being off set. I would rather carry at the 4 o'clock, but due to gambling/crowds, I like to have the pistol in my front. When I play, I lean forward so carrying at the 4 position would print majorly. Also if I were to carry 24/7, I would carry something smaller than a VP9. But for only 1 week, it's do-able.
Seen a motorcycle cop with an AR attached to the side of his bike sticking straight up (like a flag), but muzzle down, no mag. That was interesting.
Went to Bass Pro and 1 guy was OCing and had to check his firearm. When he took the mag out, he had trouble racking the slide back. Took about 6 seconds or so. He had no round in the chamber. Thought to myself he might be screwed if he had to rack the slide under stress or with 1 hand. He should really be carrying with a round in the chamber. It was a Glock 43X.
Noticed the Nike Outlet at Premium Outlet North had 2 Metro cops at the entrance. I guess they get a lot of theft.
Other than that, never had any issues CCWing for the week.
Went to Battlefield LV and they have a new thing where you can shoot a machine gun from a chopper. Shooting at either steel, cars, and planes in the desert. $450 for 125rds with a SAW. They're working on a mini gun.
While I was there, met an Englishman from northern England. He was there to shoot. He was military and fought in the Ireland war or something. And he said even he's not allowed to own a gun. He and many of his army buddies have "replica" guns (airsoft). I asked him about the "no-go zones" and he confirmed and said the cops in England are useless. They and their government are too PC and cares more about being PC than protecting the people. He was pissed. Also said their "free healthcare" is a joke. But the people are getting more upset and starting to revolt.
The main takeaway was because I was allowed to carry, I didn't feel as scared and nether did Mrs.CMO. I'm walking around with $3K in cash and didn't feel like a potential victim. Or we drove through a shitty area and at the stop light or parking lot, didn't feel like a victim. Mrs. CMO was cashing out a lot and at 1 casino they had a guard at the cashier, but he was unarmed. So she looked over to me and asked "wtf is he gonna do? I feel safer with you, than the guard there".
