I don't really care what Hawaii's nonsensical laws say.

A person trespassing on private property, armed to do harm, is a deadly threat. 

Knife, gun, bat, stick, bigger than me, whatever.....   YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO DEFEND YOUR FAMILY.

A sensible person wouldn't wait around for the trespasser to break down a door, or in any other way get an upper hand, to kill or harm a family member.

Hawaii's laws coddle and cater to criminals, while citizens have to cower following nonsense laws and at a severe disadvantage.   They are getting away with their felonies daily, walk the next day, and continue like nothing happened.  ENOUGH OF THAT!

Cutco salesmen do go door to door.  But pretty sure they are not holding 1 of their knives for sale in their hands in a threatening way at the time of the door opening.
