That was my top choice. My wife knows that as well. But ultimately it was our family that convinced us to move to Prescott Valley.

Thanks LD. We love the town of Prescott but we couldn’t afford the housing there so we decided on Prescott Valley which is right next door. We are also close to Jerome and Flagstaff so lots we can do. Plus there are a few ranges and gun stores all over. And gun shows!!! Plus Vegas is 3.5 hour drive away. And I will finally have time and a place to cast boolits.

Was in Prescott about 4 years ago. Nice place as is the valley. Nice thing is Ruger calls it home and you’ll enjoy the tours they offer. Wish I was going with you!

Thanks! We are happy with the area we chose but sad we are leaving the islands and our Ohana here. Been working a lot of hours lately and working hard around the house. I had the movers come in and move my safe from upstairs to downstairs so the new carpet can get installed. Just got all of our window treatments from the mainland. They are getting installed this weekend. Getting close to having it ready to put up for sale. But I am exhausted. I am excited about moving and getting back to some normalcy like reloading, shooting and testing new loads.

Ruger! J&G! Sportsman Warehouse! Never been to a Cabelas nor a Bass Pro Shop. My brother is still recovering from knee replacement surgery so when he is up to it, I’ll invite him out for the tour. And then a shooting session. Maybe we’ll meet in LV and shoot some fully automatic joy. I can finally attend an NRA Annual Meeting.

Yikes! Don’t overdo yourself! We ain’t as young as we used to be even though we think we are ! You’re relatively close to the Grand Canyon and due south of Prescott is the Joshua Tree National Park. You’ll like that as well.

My wife keeps telling me the same thing. She is always telling me to slow down don’t over do it. I think I’m going to have a lot to learn after I retire.

Grand Canyon is also on my list. But I didn’t realize how close I will be to Joshua Tree. In the back of my mind I seem to think I have been there but I cannot remember a specific trip. I am sure I can find some easy hiking out there. Besides LV I think our next overnight trip will be to New Mexico. We are definitely close enough.

Tried this ammo in 2 rifles.

Result:  No flyers, but Kokohead too windy to really test this ammo.
             Almost need a clamped rifle rest shooting down a windless tunnel, like they have at the Eley/Lapua Ammo Testing Centers, to see the difference.

To me, the Eley Tenex, RWS R50, or Lapua Midas+ or Center-X is just as good.....................These premium ammo runs $10 (Center-X) > $18 (Eley Tenex) a box, rather than $24 a box.

             

Did you ever mike these bullet heads?  Heard diameter might play a role with some barrels.
