I got through about half...

Have an aunty in VA and seems most of where she lives is where many “DC elites” have homes and/or property, many under the guise of a “farm” or “vineyard”. So assume much of the DC liberals bleeding into VA and being affluent, guess what they do? Try to change it to their liking. Sound familiar?  :grrr:

What are you talking about?

My last post exactly is in line with the topic.  You have in Virginia what ultimately happened in Hawaii in 1893.

People from another place moves in and slowly through the political system works to gain power and then make sweeping changes to the DISTRESS and DETRIMENT of their host population, who have lived there generations before.

Hence, this explains the current situation in Virginia where the citizens of Virginia are on the RECEIVING END and getting an albeit SMALL TASTE of what American imperialism is really like.

Mainstream media has done a great job at convincing everyone to adopt an "us vs them" mentality by showing extreme examples on both sides and insisting that everyone adopt the faulty logic that "if you are not X then you must be Y and NO EXCEPTIONS!" It is a very useful divide and conquer technique designed to keep us all shouting at each other while they pick our pockets.

When Kuleana talks about imperialism coming back to bite us in the ass (colonialism is probably a better word in this case especially because of historical connotations) it is the same phenomenon that right wing circles refer to as The Swamp. There are many terms for corrupt centralized power that does not care about the will of the people and benefits a few ultra rich guys at the expense of everyone else.

He makes an excellent point BTW, that by ignoring the crimes of our country we are guaranteeing that we will all be the future victims of The Swamp. In case you have not noticed all the techniques and equipment used in the War on Terror have gradually found their way into our own streets. Mossad is training our cops, and the results speak for themselves.

Saying someone cannot be patriotic because they criticize the United States of America is absurd. It is the mentality of a herd animal marching towards the slaughter house. How are we supposed to know when the Tree of Liberty gets thirsty if we are not paying attention?
