Whose at the window now?

Haven’t gone in since rap back.
Used to be short Japanese guy ( long sleeves since he had tattoo sleeves had to cover. ) good size young Korean guy (interested in the firearms) older Filipino guy (super cool, my age), local guy (kinda just went with the flow), Del Prado (?) tall mixed guy bolo head, good fun.
Sergeant was handsome Buggah. Aloha shirt.

All were very cool.  Only one real young guy was a dick but all the other guys would overrule him.
Only had one window then though.

They broke up that band slightly after RapBack.because officers at window were "good" , "super cool" , went with flow" and "all were very cool".  :'(

My street has a major parking problem, I called the Kailua Police station to ask how much space you needed to leave between a car and a stop sign, the officer who answered the phone didnt know, asked 3 other officers in earshot for the answer, none of them knew, then they had to look it up and that took 15 mins. A 20 year HPD vet friend of mine was warning me about the laws on transporting firearms, he had 50% of it wrong. They arent the legal encyclopedias they think they are. Its a crap shoot at permitting & registration who is working and if they are even qualified to man the  window. Permitting side are generally nice well informed folks (my last 4 visits), the registration side is rumored to be a punishment assignment with heavy rotation so you arent drawing from the best deck. I got 2 dumb assholes, and 2 super nice people in my last 4 tries.

The bolo head guy was super cool! One day, in line we was talking about I should be on the payroll because I was there so much! Then I never went to register anything for about 3-4 years. Next thing you know, they split the windows (which I think is great, really speeds things up) and the normal faces were gone. Now you got people telling me to bring back my lower when I finish my build! Haha!

I've only registered one complete lower, the officer at the window asked where's the upper and I told him I just bought the lower (from LGS) and he said okay, and that was it. I have seen the same thing with another guy but the guy's answer was "I didn't bring it" and they wouldn't register it, told him to come back with the complete rifle.

The bolo head guy was super cool!
When filling out the application I always filled out hair color as black. Well, my hair might have been getting more white than black so I asked Mick what I should put down for hair color. He looked straight at me and said "what you asking me for, just be lucky you have hair!".

Yes, and on my street clowns stuff 3 cars in that 30 feet. HPD doesnt know the distance because they never enforce it.

Most beat cops don't enforce parking distances like that or close to someones driveway unless called.  Driveway is 3 feet IIRC.  So they will by pass.  I have called on this before and they have issued tickets many times.  Same goes with fire hydrants in residential areas.

But for the fire hydrant, they will hang and wait until tow truck comes.  Sometimes they sound their siren in hopes the owner will come out and move their car.

I am not big on calling the PoPo to ticket my neighbors. I left notes with the law printed on them and MOST of them knocked it off, the ones who didnt then got 5-0 called on them by the folks who did knock it off, which was in itself a special kind of satisfying. Apparently you arent supposed to be parking on your own lawn because 'side walk' in older neighborhoods if there are none. But they dont enforce that because they prefer the streets less clogged. . Selective enforcement is stupid instead of cutting out old laws they could just decide one day to bang you with for fun.

Maybe they just don't come to your area very often. I have seen tickets for this many times. But the solution to your problem is very simple, call the cops and report it.

As for the sidewalk issue, even if there is no paved sidewalk, there is still a sidewalk. The sidewalk is defined as anything from the edge of your property to the road. There may be continuous grass from your yard to the street but most likely your property does not extend all the way to the street. The problem is without a paved sidewalk there is no clear boundary line so its harder to enforce. Where does your property end and city/state property start?

I understand parking is bad and people can squeeze in to some areas and I don't usually care however what bothers me is if there is not enough space for a kid to walk by and then has to walk on the street.

Another example of cops not admitting their mistake and following the law. Push comes to shove, they will look for something and even arrest.

Hence why registering a lower is not consistent SOP. Those who dont know the law, will give wrong info. Then when showed the law, refuse to admit the mistake.

He does and will be found not guilty.  But in the mean time, he went to jail, will loose his job, hurt financially, and stressed out.  Hope he gets millions in pay out.

All because cops won't admit when they're wrong.  Give him a ticket for his dark tint and let him be on his way.

I don't think he would get millions but certainly tens of thousands.
