Figure starting a new thread relating to Corona.  Our gov and doctors tell us it's nothing to worry about unless you're old, a child, or have low immune system already.  Other than that, it's like the flu.  Millions get it every year and thousands die from the flu every year, but yet no panic like how Corona is happening.  No extra steps by the government either every flu seasons, such as quarantines.   Below are some info that makes me question the numbers since Corona isn't that bad:

1) China quarantined multiple cities ( no entry in or out).  They didn't do this with the flu

2) Half of Wuhan (5.5 million) already left prior to the lock down (again, no one did this with the flu)

3) China is dragging people from their homes because they're suspected of having Corona (again, didn't happen with the flu season)

4) China is going office to office spraying cleaner and doing so in the streets via trucks (like fog machine)

5) Satellite reading of gasses released (silicon dixoide?) show that more than 2K people are being cremated over Wuhan, gas estimates it would take 100K or furnaces runing 24/7

6) Plants delayed opening (Foxconn), so they lose lots of money every day of delay

7) Italy cancelled schools (never do during flu season)

Italy quarantined the northern part about 16 million people (not done during flu season)

9) Italy cancelled viewership by spectators in the stands for sports events (not sure if all italy or just north)

10) The US blocked China travelers (no country is blocked during flu season)

11) The Arnold Classic was cancelled for view by spectators in Columbus, Ohio (about 250K attend)

12) Protest in HK stopped once this happened

So add all these together and something is fishy.  I am not too concerned if I catch Corona, because many who do catch it survive (according to US info) and I'm young and healthy.  But more concerning is all the above that is not done during flu season by governments. #tinfoil #everythingisaconsperiacy #falseflag

Japan cancelled graduation ceremonies for some colleges.  My coworkers son finished last month, but will walk at the fall ceremony if they have 1.  Also many schools ran a skeleton crew end of feb because that's nation wide testing for all grades.  They can't cancel, so non-essential staff are told to stay home.  Again none of this was done for the flu.

The best information is coming out of Italy from the physicians directly.  Remember when they leaders were on the news a few weeks ago complaining that countries were telling their citizens not to travel to Italy because they will lose tourism money and now they are quarantining the north half of the country.   In 2 weeks that happened. edit: they just quarantined the entire country

10% of all their patients need intensive care.  They are at the point, 2 weeks later, of already planning to let the elderly die because they dont have the ventilators for everyone.  That is disaster triage, not flu season triage. 

on the Big Island if we get 200 cases we will overwhelm our intensive care services.  I'm not hearing about any planning for this from the local hospitals and the Department of Health just let a plane full of people land in Honolulu with a symptomatic patient on that plane who tested positive. 

This physician is saying we are screwed.  In 2-3 weeks we'll have a good idea what the failure to contain this virus has done to the US.   Even if we dont get it bad here how are we going to get shipments of medications to pharmacies, foods to the stores, if the whole west coast is sick?

I hope I'm wrong.

Overreacting by cancelling public events, restricting movement of people between locations, and imposing quarantines might be overkill, or it might be the best way to slow the spread until a vaccine is available.

Whether or not the government (who never lies to the public) is providing immediate, round the clock statements on the details of their planning and execution (bad word choice -- maybe) decisions isn't going to change anything.

FOX News is doing what they ought to -- publicizing the government's official statements and augmenting it with advice,  It's the normal advice:  hygiene, covering coughs and sneezes, staying home if sick whether or not you've been tested, don't touch your face without washing your hands first, don't shake hands or otherwise greet people by touching, avoid going out in public unnecessarily especially if using mass transit, etc, etc.

FOX commentators are making the point that YOU, not the government, have the responsibility to take action to keep yourself safe.  Waiting for the government to "fix" this problem while personally changing nothing about how you protect yourself is being naive.

Plan for the worst and hope for the best.  Nothing more can be done unless you want the government to step in and FORCE people to take proper precautions (i.e. closing schools, outlawing public gatherings (funerals included) and setting up checkpoints to restrict nonessential trips).

Even if it adds up to some huge conspiracy, there's nothing that you or I can do about it.
The only thing you can do is to make sure you have an adequate method of protecting yourself and your family in the event of civil disorder.
