Do the bills really take effect in 2050?

No, its like a vague expiration date to add more stuff in.

So far, none have grace period or next year jan 1st effective date. So when ige signs it in july, its in effect.

I've seen someone else say something about a July timeframe. Where is this mentioned?

I haven't seen this mentioned, but I think it's a timing issue with when the legislature "closes" the governor has a specific amount of time to act.  He can either sign bills into law, or veto them post session - I could be wrong but I think it's something like 45 days to sign it or less time if decides to veto it.  Bills can become law without the governor's signature if it goes past the 45 day mark.  If the legislature brings him something while in session he has a shorter period of time to sign or veto a bill, I want to say it's 10 days?  Someone can correct me if this is wrong.
No one is coming, it’s up to us.

Legislation should never be about depriving law abiding citizens of something, but rather taking those things away from criminals.

I see nothing in the language about 'grandfathering and registering magazines', I take it they stripped that provision out? They literally are going to make people criminals signing this into law?

The house bill has no grandfather clause. The senate version does.

There  is a deadline for ige to sign all bills in july. Thats why july is referred to, unless a specific date is included in the bill.

Have these testimonies been shown to have any effect on votes? I’m not trying to discourage anyone because I love and appreciate all the work you guys do here. I only ask because there was an overwhelming number of people who objected to the mag ban something like 400 to 40 ratio of disprove to approve and they still voted for it.

Truthfully,  they don't give a rip. Only way is to get them fired and elect a majority 2A legislature that will repeal all these infringements.

New mail in system, being rigged out of the gate, will make that an impossible task.

I'll keep making noise regardless, but don't be disappointed that everything passes.

Can't this be taken to a higher court or SCOTUS?

Lawmakers dont care. We need 5000 to 40. But many 2a people dont care either. 400 is a sad number. Thats like a weekend at the range in people.

There are already many cases being challenged, similar or same, to the crap they are attempting to pass.

Thing is, it takes decades or longer to even get a hearing, also if if needs to go to SCOTUS, multiple decades.   Is there judges that will do their duty to unbiasedly interpret the Constitution, or legislate from the bench? The past 20 years has seemed to be the latter, with a slim margin for true Constitutionalist judges keeping us barely in liberty.

Not to mention the money involved.   We are against the entire leftist machine and their billionaire globalist backers.

There are less and less options to keep this country free.  First best is to get people the genuinely believe and care about the Constitution, their oaths, and liberty into office.

The other is just a big igloo....  don't want to go there. Either way, it's a tough battle.
