I only wanted to buy one gun. But now I’m thinking that for all the trouble since I already have an appointment for 3 Guns? I might as well buy 2 more and make it worth my time?
What ever happened to 2nd Amendment being a Right?!  How can they hinder my Rights? WTF!

GUIDE TO PICK/SWAP SCHEDULE FOR PERMIT TO ACQUIRE AND GUN REGISTRATION
Permit to acquire      Days to wait      Dates you can pick up permit            (10 days valid to use your permit)
example date             after applying      (6 days valid to pick up)                     Appt to Register should be:
25-Aug                           +14                           9-Sep      --------------------------------   Sep 9 to Sep 18
                                                               10-Sep      --------------------------------   Sep 10 to Sep 19
                                                               11-Sep      --------------------------------   Sep 11 to Sep 20
                                                               12-Sep      --------------------------------   Sep 12 to Sep 21
                                                               13-Sep      --------------------------------   Sep 13 to Sep 22
                                                               14-Sep      --------------------------------   Sep 14 to Sep 23

Note:
Line 1: I use Aug 25th as an example schedule date for Permit to acquire 3 guns or less from this, you can adjust and pattern your Appt for permit to acquire to a compatible Appt to register.
Line 2: Mandatory waiting time before issuing your approved permit to acquire w/c is 14 days.
Line 3: After 14 days waiting period you have 6 days to pick up your approved permit. Dates are shown when to pick up your permit.  If you don't pick up your permit within 6 days, it will be voided, and you go back to hunting an Appt for permit to acquire.
Line 4: Dates that your permit is valid to use. These dates should also be your Appt to register.   You pick up your permit on a day in Line 3, then the compatible Appt to register should be on Line 4.

*** This is just a guide I made to share with you to know if you have the right match of your Appt for permit to acquire with your Appt to register.
*** With this please don't hog most appointments.
***Pls don’t waste the Appt for permit to acquire schedule if you will not have the right Appt to register schedule. Swap it with someone with compatible schedules.
***Pls don’t waste the Appt to register schedule if your permit to acquire is going to be expired at the time to register your guns.
*** It's up to you to follow or not. Let me know if it's not accurate. Thank you if you learn something from this. Let's help one another.  :shaka: :shaka: :shaka:

So how many windows do they have operating down there usually? I still can't figure out how they used to process everyone pre-COVID but now every single appointment is booked past 90 days.

I did more number crunching and here is what they were doing pre-COVID
PERMIT APPLICATION AVERAGES
yearly   monthly   weekly   daily  Hourly (8 hour day)
Historical   13329   1111           256           37          4.6
10 Year   18394   1533   354           50          6.3
5 Year   18354   1530   353           50           6.3

If you aren't sure if the HPD reservation system is being disrupted, ask yourself how all reservations for License to Carry - Security can be booked for the next 90 days.

2 30-minute reservations per hour
8 hours per day
5 days per week
4 weeks per month
3 months max reservations available

2x8x5x4x3 = 960 reservations

Anyone believe there are 960 people needing a Security Job-Related license to carry appointment all in the same 3 month period?

Yeah.  The system is definitely working "as intended."

Or just maybe...if we think logically of other explainations.  All reservations in one category are the same "time blocks"  so an appointment to acquire will take a carry timeslot.

I don’t give a shit what HPD says or does. Those dooshbags are doing this registration appointment system for one reason and one reason only and thats gun control, plain and simple. The mayor needs to grow a set of balls and tell that skank/dike Ballard to end this bullshit or else. He runs the city, not her and her scum bag crooked pig cops.  :wtf:

That's even worse.  It allows those trying to disrupt the process to reserve all the times in one category which in turn eliminates all appointments in all other categories.

If this were the case, then nobody could ever make a License to Carry appointment if all the 3 or less appointments are booked.

Your theory makes no sense -- looking at it logically.

Disruption from behind a keyboard is more common when the disrupters can remain anonymous.

I'd be happy with a small ($1 ?) "convenience fee" paid by credit card or PayPal to make an appointment.  No refunds for cancelations made less than 2 or 3 days prior.  You can swap with someone else, but that person would be charged a dollar as well.  2-3 days is enough time for someone else to rebook the appointment after it's canceled.

It's not the cost as much as having something to identify the people using the system.  Too easy to fake a name, phone number, email and address to clog up the system.

Anything to make it less convenient for disrupters to make an appointment anonymously.  HPD could then look for people using the same payment accounts and not showing up.  Better than relying on the information currently self-provided to identify them.

I get the strong feeling that HPD would not GAS.
DLNR, might.  The DNLR guy at my class seemed a good guy.  Why he came in with full kit was questionable.

There's a few ways to reduse abuse if the appointment system.  Have an automatic call back feature.  Or require a photo of your ID.  24 hours prior to the appointment have an automated call confirmation to reduce scammers or forgotten appointments.

A good alternative is to email and text different verification codes to the user.  Then they can enter the codes on the website to verify both are valid.  If it's not done in, say, 30 minutes, the reservation is canceled.

The Acuity Scheduler software allows HPD to use the Stripe payment processor and not charge the credit card entered unless they are a no-show.

So, a $10, $15 or even $20 no-show fee may be enough to stop the disruption.

Stripe: Click “Connect with Stripe” or copy your live secret API key to accept payments.
Stripe allows clients to pay with their credit card without straying from Acuity. It also allows
you to capture a credit card number without charging it –– the perfect solution for charging
in the event of a no-show.

The no-show fees collected should be enough to pay for the Stripe payment processing costs.   :geekdanc:

I’ve heard that there are a lot of anti gun pukes that have made appointments to jam everything up. Likewise there’s word on the street that SME LGS’s have made appointments to accommodate their customers. Not sure how true it is but it wouldn’t surprise me.  ???

Hpd probably high 5s the last minute cancellations or no shows.

A $ redundable deposit makes too much sense.

This is true. I've been in a couple LGS looking at toys and they've straight up told me they can get me appointment "tomorrow" if I wanted to buy today. Makes you wonder if there is a "back door" system for the LGS who are or are former LEO to get in the system and just book as many as they want. Or they just wait until the "hack" is available at 0300 and they book them all then.

While I support refundable deposits in concept, implementation I do not.  You would need to trust HPD with payment info.  The best method I can think of is phone number confirmation, then limit how many appointments one phone can have.  You don't need 10 acquire permits a month...
