I heard wild jungle fowl is not legal to hunt unless they are destroying your crops.
I’m becoming clinically undepressed and thinking about beginning it all.

I would have done a controlled harvest.
Think of it like a food delivery service.
I tried that with the wild chickens here in Waipahu, but the flock just disappears for some reason.
Probably because most of my neighbors are Filipino.

I do chum the barred and laceneck doves every morning.

Wrote a post about this a few years back.

Flock of feral chickens tearing up my yard cuz lady next door feeds them,
I dispatch in my yard with pellet gun, she calls cops.

Cops says animal cruelty, I so no, I'm hunting and feeding to my dogs.
He says "Got a hunting license" ?
I say no need, feral chicken not on the DLNR list.
He says no diis-charging "fire arm" in city limits ,
I say not firearm, air rifle and perfectly legal to shoot as long as projectile does not leave property.

Cops fine lady next door for feeding feral chickens.  ;D

Been sorely tempted by the damn Myna birds keep stealing cat food off the lanai and taking huge dumps all over.

Best thing is remove the food.  After a time, the birds will look elsewhere.  Birds remember where they find food and will not stay where there's none.

Learned that at the San Diego Wild Animal Park show: Birds of Prey.  They have a pre-show thing where doves fly in a flock above the crowd in formation in a pattern then return to their coop.  The humans discovered they were missing doves after every show.  Turns out a pair of hawks discovered the dinner bell rang every day at the same times.  After stopping that part of the show for about a week, the hawks left and never came back.

There is a section in the law that allows killing of pest animals and pests are not specifically defined.

I saw some recent reports that meat plants on the mainland are shutting down because of the wuhan. Made me think of picking up a pellet gun to hunt birds if no can get meat. Would be picking off chickens pearl city get plenty. and I would have no shame laying down on the grass at the zoo offing all those fat pigeons for their tits ;D if got to.

I feed our outside boys when i get up, come in to check news, and wander back out after a while.  Some time the damn birds are just starting to scout, sometimes they have already stolen food.

Darn outside cat might right nearby drowsing and not do a thing.

Thought of trying to make a snare, thinking catching one might freak out the others, without nailing him with the air rifle.
