The Hawk Model 981R is patterned after America's favorite 12 GA pump, and features a machined solid steel receiver,
an 18 1/2" barrel with 3 inch chamber and a bead sight. This traditional pump action model is fitted with polymer stocks
with recoil pad and has a black matte finish.

My take on the 981R.  It feels and shoots just like 870.  It is a bit heavier and is noticible in the recoil using slugs.
The built in rail on the top is a plus.  I can mount optics without much fuss.
