OmniGun, for the record, I have a BA degree in Computer Science from 1984, obtained using an AFROTC 4-year full scholarship.  I have some graduate level classes, but separated from the Air Force before getting my MBA.  The university wanted $1,000 per credit hour for out of state tuition.  I was paying in-state at $300 per class ($100/credit hour).  Never went back to finish, because of travel and no real need.

My salary history tops out at $156,800/year plus benefits and fringe package "perks".

Yeah.  Doubt all you want.

Congrats,  hopefully I follow a similar path and end up around there in retirement.  The whole point I was making was both education and experience matters.  It isn't a one or another approach.  Many jobs require and unable to substitute a degree to be able to work a position (government).

I have a degree,  I do work in that and I not saying experience doesn't matter.  You falsely said degrees don't matter as much as experience.  Just pointed that out.   Also the position I have requires a degree no substitutions.

I "falsely said"?  No, it's the truth.  in fact, the way tuition and student debt is holding people in your age bracket down, it would be smarter to avoid college altogether until you have a job that can pay for it without life-crushing debt.

The position you have?  That's not broad enough.  You need to show me that's the norm across the industry.  I know that's not the case.

Okay, this is THE BIDEN REPORT, not the OmniGun Derailed Thread #274.

Let's get back on topic, or start another thread,

No iPhones.  CB radios.

Lots of mainframe computers -- mostly larger than would fit in the average living room.  Home computers had just hit the consumer markets in 1977.  The #1 selling PC was the TRS-80 series from Radio Shack (Tandy brand).   IBM DOS was created by Microsoft and released in 1981.  There were other brands of DOS for home PCs, but MS-DOS became the standard thru 1995.

I bought a Commodore 64 in 1987.  Loved that thing!

Naw, we had Fortran and IBM 360's in the early 80's, you know, real programming and computers, punch cards.  No terminals, no graphics unless you were really good with ASCII.

Sort of stuff, that the mere idea of gives Mac users seizures.

Bought my first IBM PC circa 1984, booting from floppys and all that terrifying command line stuff.

I started my programming classes my Spring Semester Freshman year -- FORTRAN.  :geekdanc:

There seemed to always be that one student in my class who had a home PC, normally a "Trash" 80, and didn't have to compete for a terminal to do his projects.  I'm glad there was one less student fighting over terminals and punch card machines, but still......

Honeywell 6000 with modem access to the NC Research Triangle's IBM 360.  Uses my C-64 the last semester as a dial-up terminal.  300 baud!  Woo hoo!!

Of course it is true. Why else would the media and silicon valley work so hard to suppress it? Unlike the false Russian collusion narrative that they carelessly attacked the President with, this story has legs and is a serious threat to their guy. The naked favoritism of an outright ban was a total panic maneuver which permanently changed the public perception of media, and when Trump wins I look forward to a long overdue modification of section 230 since it has been so clearly demonstrated that "good faith" does not exist.

Facebook allegedly helping Biden by banning the story doesn't prove the story is true.

When does the FBI ever comment about ongoing investigations or make such comments. This type of investigation can take a long time. We have no idea whether the FBI was sitting on it, doing nothing, or whether they were actively pursuing it and chasing leads.

SNIP
:o

I pointed out something similar in the debate thread.  I noticed how Trump would be looking directly at Biden as Biden spoke.  But Biden was normally looking down as Trump spoke and sometimes seemed to be mouthing words.  I thought that was pretty strange, but consistent.

Another thing that this video highlighted was how Biden (and maybe his handlers :P ) tried to twist what Trump said.  Seems to be a common tactic and Trump caught Biden on the Abraham Lincoln thing and a couple of others.

I like how Biden says, "Look at my taxes!  I released them all.  I didn't take a single cent from any foreign country!"

Um, the whole idea of using family to funnel money to you is so there's no direct trail leading to you as VP.  If you're hiding income, you aren't going to put that ON YOUR TAX RETURNS.

This shows how STUPID these Democrat swamp critters think we all are.  Since their voters see this kind of crap all the time and still reelect then, the Dems kind of have a point.

True.

The issue is not Hunter, even though his father enabled his drug abuse and human trafficking while a Senator passing laws that put tens of thousands of young Black men in prison for doing the same.  This is about a political office holder who is a national security risk.  Anytime there is a secret in someone's life, an opponent such as a foreign country could easily use the family member as leverage against Biden.

This is the same thing the Dems warned us of regarding Trump -- that his supposed shenanigans with prostitutes in Russia were a source of blackmail.

I think there's evidence that Joe took money under the table.  So, the "Joe's not Hunter" deflection fails in both regards.  Joe broke the law, and Hunter made Joe a security risk.

Ya, completely agree.  Hunter is not even a symptom.  Hunter is the itch that is an indicator of the symptom, which I believe leads to a whole lot more.  Wait, I am allowed to share what I believe, right?

Those without security clearance perhaps can't fathom there's non-tangible threats out there. . .

What Hunter represents is the Swamp that Trump has been trying to dismantle this whole time.  Trump even said his #1 surprise as President is how deep and broad the level of corruption is in DC.

Hunter demonstrates  the "Laws for thee, bu not for me" attitude in DC.  The elitists there protect their own from the laws they use to go after ever other non-Democrat and peon in the country.

Yes, Hunter is a symptom -- of many things that Trump has only been able to make a small dent in this first term.  The fact that the FBI sat on Hunter's laptop for 6 months is proof of that.

Since the debate last week, the number one trending search phrase on Google has been

"Can I change my vote?"

Since there's been no real October surprise involving Trump, I can safely assume this is coming from people, for the most part, who've already submitted a ballot with Joe Biden selected for President.

Another reason why the Dems pushed so hard for mail-in and early voting.  The less you know about Biden before voting, the better for him.
