Yeah I was thinking the same thing because I wanted to bring a few on the fence friends to convert them but, if only get 1 hour to shoot between 3 people, if that’s even allowed. Waste of time.

Wonder if they will let a group share a table?  My friends don’t have toys and have to use mine.

So if 3 people, share a table for 3 hours.

If you finish your hour, and nobody else is waiting for your spot, will the RSOs extend your time, or are they being instructed to kick people out for no other reason than "it's written in the SOP"?

lol man that would be one way to piss people off for sure, kicking someone off a bench without someone waiting to take their spot.

The proposed SOP that I saw would clear off the table for sanitation after 1 hour and was a very inefficient use of available resources.
Just wait for the "official" announcement. Hopefully a more sensible plan will emerge.

My shooting buddy went to ____indoor shooting range here and said that they were packing'em in like sardines.
Both locals and tourists. NO face masks.

I just wonder how early I have to go to get a spot for the day on the weekend. 0700, 0600, 0500?
I bet a lot of people will be going early. i'm going to bring a couple handguns in case I don't get in rifle, i'll try pistol.

Sucks if we have to revert to that situation.  Hopefully there will be an online reservation system that both works well and tamper resistant.

A few friends picked up their first handguns just prior to the shutdown and they are itching to get out there and shoot.

We went riding in the car yesterday just to get out of the house.  We bought bentos where the old fishermans wharf restaurant used to be and then we parked at Ala Moana and ate in the car.

We passed the Sp#*%@$m store and there was a crowd of people lined up outside waiting to get in.  Only so much people in at one time.

There was no social distancing outside.  Just a mob of people mingling about.  Once you got inside then they have the marked floors and you maintain your distance.

I see this all over the place.  Maybe because dey tink outside so no need?

I tink need. :o

There's a release from Caldwell's office to Hawaii Historical Arms Association that "that because the four other firearms ranges at KHSC (skeet, trap, silhouette, and action pistol" are operated by third-part gun clubs and will remain closed at this time>"

I would argue that those venues are better equipped to safely facilitate shooting.  Just that C&C won't have control. . .

Yup!  The Metallic side is pretty well equipped with those dividers.  Skeet - you can easily maintain distance since there is only one shooter at a time.  And like Groveler pointed out the Trap Shooters can maintain distance as well at different stations.  USPSA is still up and running with shoots happening all across the country all the while maintaining social distancing.
No one is coming, it’s up to us.

Legislation should never be about depriving law abiding citizens of something, but rather taking those things away from criminals.

Hope everything went smooth for those who were able to go range today. Been seeing lotta pics of protests happening around the community that have ignored these so called distancing measures. Made me think, if this 1hr per table BS and mandatory reservation continues beyond a few weeks, we as a community should be protesting ourselves and ignore this infringement. The range officers should be in full support, or maybe they need to find a new job if so. And by protest, i mean we should just show up like a regular day at kokohead and continue a pre covid routine.

I heard that there only 8 shooters were allowed to fire on rifle side at a time. Same procedure on pistol. Half shoots while the other half waits.
Imagine if we organized a Gun Rights Matter March.

WOW if this is true. That is truly a sad time. I can understand since today was day 1. But i hope people start blasting the range officer email if this is a trend we see.  Thanks for the update.
