Eviction Riots
« on: May 28, 2020, 12:06:52 AM »
At some point it looks like there will be mass evictions, because there does not appear to be a plan of how to deal with the issue once the moratoriums are cancelled. In Honolulu I can see a violent crime wave as people get desperate, but other places around the country could turn really ugly depending on how well or poorly their local governments handle things. Already I am seeing an increase in passersby casing my place, and thank goodness I am home most of the time now. Hopefully the real estate market crashes quickly enough to bring down the obscene housing prices and give some relief to those people who are barely getting by before we have some very serious social disorder.
Stop blaming lazy people. We didn’t do anything.

I actually thought much of the unrest mentioned in the OP was gonna get pretty bad back in early-mid April.  Thankfully, haven't seen as much as I thought.  Didn't think about the potential/probably wave of evictions though.  Maybe what is needed for C&C Honolulu and the State to better address homelessness.  Not holding my breath though.

Has to be simple so someone like you can understand it.

Wow! You lash out at others because “they don’t know anything about you”.

Never mind. You can go back to being a victim...

Why do you intervene on behalf of those who make personal insults to me on other threads?

If that person I replied to wants to take cheap shots at me on other threads, I can get real stupid too.

You “can get real stupid”?

Wasn’t intervening. Just noticed hypocrisy.

I give “that person” $hit all the time. He gives it back. It’s what adults do and can handle without shattering fragile egos...

You have an established relationship with that person; I do not.

If said person meant it in jest, they should kindly allude to it somewhere in their post, as a courtesy to avoid misunderstandings.

Said person's latest post in another thread was a pure insult and personal attack.

Even now, so when I fight back to said person, you call it hypocrisy?

He had a really useful suggestion to extend all debt another 3 months. Of course this is completely unacceptable to large financial institutions who want our unemployment checks as a stealth bailout
