I want to grab a grinder stand from harbor freight to mount my new Dillon too, But the shipping is like $25. Does harbor freight do shipping promos to Hawaii? I wanna buy some ground walnut shell for tumbling but the shipping jumps to $50!

I've shopped on their website looking for power tools and accessories.  Never made a purchase because of shipping expense.  I've never seen a free shipping deal to Hawaii from them, but that's just my experience.

You're better off spending that $25 on something of better quality on Amazon if you can take advantage of prime shipping. :geekdanc:

They did away with free shipping to Hi decades ago. Used to order a bunch of stuff from them but not anymore...Will usually stop by their stores whenever I'm in LV

I think  have a new un-assembled tabletop stand from a 6'' Craftsman bench grinder if that's what your looking for

I have one of their grinder stands and it isn't worth a shit.
I don't use that stand.

Build yourself a little bench.

I assume you are on Oahu,  find one of those
military office 3X5 desks and ground it.
so there are no static issues.
$50 bucks should get a surplus one.
I have two of those desks.
You can Rock Chuck or Dillon all day long on them.

I have two.

Flapp is right about Amazon.

I have one of those desks and it is rock solid! It also has lockable drawers which is a big "plus."  Mounted an Inline Fabrication Ultramount with the Quick Change system. Use my Dillon 550, RCBS Rock Chucker, and Lee Load All on it.

Never thought about grounding it. @groveler how did you do that?

if you are using Dillon's priming system ensure your stand is SOLID. A lot of problems can be attributed to a wobbly mount.

I had an idea similar to how the Dillon 50 press is mounted - an I beam bolted to a concrete pad

As an engineer
I'm going to sound like a puss here.

Use a static mat and connect it to one of your house ground rods
anyway you can.
I use the safety ground on a 120 VAC plug.
I also have a wrist strap. But I fix computers.
so I'm a little more careful than most.
