FYI, both parties need to be present if transferring appts.  Apparently people have really been selling their appointments and you can’t just take someone else’s appt without them being present.

Thanks for the heads up. Can take chances with canceling and snatching online. I have a way to fill out form real fast. Person trading can send me their info and I'll do both swaps. I'll start with tomorrows reg to you so if it goes bad, you will lose nothing. Your existing appt will still stand. Only I lose.

This. Do you have to go to the permitting side or the register side to transfer an appointment? My cousins going to give me a reg appointment and we always hanging out so getting together isn't a prob. And he already has a permit to aquire that I'm go go with to see if we can transfer a reg appointment to me. 

Gotta check in on the Reg side because the health screen and appt desk is the same.  They have the print copy of the appts that they check.

Sorry, I didn’t see this. I canceled about 10 minutes after posting.

My long gun permit is 16 days till expiration so they wouldn’t let me renew it till 14 days.

But HPD will tell you to pick up a firearm if you have a permit to acquire even if you don’t have an appointment to register.  They’ll tell you to break the law but won’t look away from 2 days.
