Legal Accessories for Handguns

New here and probably a newb question.. Would a compensator on Glock 19.5 barrel be considered legal? I'm just curious, not even sure I want to get one. I haven't seen any clear guidance on this but I will admit I skimmed the stuff on HPDs site as it is cryptic.

I use a comp on my Ruger 22/45.  No laws against it.  As long as it's not a suppressor, should be okay.  You can even attach fake suppressors if you want.  Some .22s come with those.

I assume "Glock 19.5" means Glock 19 Gen 5"?

Thanks for the info and yes sorry, Gen 5. I was fortunate to pick one up and magically got an appointment to get the permit from HPD after checking their website religiously. My registration however is awhile from now.

Having said that, there have been lawmakers trying to push to ban threaded barrels on firearms.  So, stay vigilant.

Good to know. I have been reviewing the notices the HRA sends out, will continue to monitor.
