Was wondering if an FFL reports receiving a firearm with HPD online or do they still have to drop the info off in person? When I had my FFL it was the latter. Just curious.  :shaka:

Whatever is more difficult and humbug for the FFL holder is the way I would think HPD would require.  But don't quote me because I might be wrong.

I've driven straight from OGC after paying for my new gun to HPD to apply for a permit.  HPD already had the paperwork from OGC.

I assume they either email or FAX the paperwork.

We have our system setup to fax HPD

1) when the gun arrives and is imported to our bound book

2) when we deliver the serial # to customer

3).when 4473 is complete and gun is turned over

That being said, the admin side of HPD firearms unit works their backsides off to keep up but sometimes it takes a while to get updated on their side.
