I saw this awhile back. It kinda gets into the zone where it may not save you any money but if you can't get bullets, I guess it makes sense as a prepper thing.
I think it would be more interesting to buy j4 jackets or equivalent and swage precision bullets.

Yes, for a long time we made our own bullets using Corbin dies. I've never made the 22 using the fired brass but my cousin who got me into it has. Its a learning curve but with your previous reloading experience I'm sure you'll be fine. If l can help I'll help what l can its been awhile though.

We made 6mm, 7mm, 30 & 338 cal bullets using a corbin & walnut hill press. With J4 jackets and Corbin lead spool as well as lead antimony from wheel weights.

Thank you very much for the offer. I might take you up on it someday. Right now I am just starting to get everything I need to start casting my own. So I am way behind curve on this.

Fortunately, I did stock up on a fair amount of bullets before they all disappeared.

If I get to the point I do try this it will be because I want to experiment or I’m desperate for bullets. But I will do it just as an experiment. Someday.
