Gonna get a Boyd’s stock for my RAR Predator 243. Don’t trust myself to bed the action blocks and the entire action. Want a quality job so would appreciate some solid leads.... thanks!

  Pacific Custom Rifles did a real nice job on my custom build.
I did two others on my factory rifles. Not too hard, but after dropping coin
on a nice stock, I felt better letting a pro do it.

Yup, Wayne at PCR does good work. Not sure on his turnaround time at the moment.

Or you can try Chad @LRI his bedding jobs are 2nd to none. He prefers uninletted stocks but no harm in asking. He's done work for me in the past and its been top shelf and quick turnaround.

You can also try Marc Soulie of Spartan Precision Rifles in San Jose, CA. He's a bit closer and does awesome work as well. My custom rifles from him are incredibly accurate.

Chad dixon at LRI has a good explanation behind bedding on snipers hide if you wanna look for it and do some reading. He posted it because a lot of people give him flack for charging upwards of 400ish for bedding a stock when most gunsmiths will do it for 200ish. If you look at his work, its flawless and he will fit your action like a glove, but even he himself will admit he is unsure if it really matters downrange. Now at the same token, not sure if I would spend my money on having someone do a C grade job.

For a boyds quality stock (not knocking it in anyway), you could try to do it yourself, lots of videos on how to do it, main thing is to lube everything you don't want it to stick to well. like over the top well lol. If not, spartan precision is really good, so is Mark at short action customs. You could even reach our to Area 419, they do awesome work as well.

Turnaround time is usually the issue most hate dealing with. If you decide to send it out best to contact and discuss things before hand.
